NOTE: This is not a music and technology related post and is my personal opinion about a current event… What an extreme waste of a human being.  So what he was depressed…So what he lost he lost his job…So what he was on hard times…So what he had a hard life…So what he did bad at school… So his parents failed him… So his friends failed him… So the school failed him…  So his relatives failed him… So his community failed him… So the world failed him… HE FAILED HIMSELF.  Every single person on this planet has been depressed at one time or another and so now it seems it's even fashionable to be depressed and have a "rough life".  Despite it all, there is NO reason for a person to do this type of thing to anyone, here in the U.S. or anywhere else on the planet.   He should have shot himself far away from anyone else and did the world a favor.  THIS PERSON IS NOW INFAMOUS AND HE SHOULD BE RIDICULED AND DESPIS

Bellevue Chamber Lunch - Microsoft on the Move
On Thursday, October 11th, I attended a lunch held by the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce at the Hyatt in Bellevue.  Jim Stanton, Microsoft Senior Community Affairs Manager, was the speaker for the lunch talk.  He talked about Microsoft’s expansion on the Eastside - both past and plans for the future.  I took some notes and will pass along the highlights here. Microsoft has approximately 78,000 employees globally - 40,000 workers on campus here (5000 are vendor/contractors).  Last year, Microsoft hired 12,000 globally.  Microsoft had revenue of approximately $50B last year, $10B more than the year previous.  This expansion has pushed them to acquire more space.  Microsoft and Redmond have created an agreement to support this expansion.  Each party contributes some set of actions for this goal.  The slide that showed the pieces of the agreement went by too quickly for me to write down all of the elements - and the slide no doubtedly was a synopsis of the major elements.

      Vida Condos - Bellevue
With most of Bellevue’s new condo developments focusing on the very high-end market, it’s refreshing to see a developer offering a more reasonably priced option for condo buyers. Proposed by Colorado developer Tonsing Properties, the Vida Condominium (website), located in downtown Bellevue, will offer 236 homes within its 12-story structure. Prices are expected to range from $300,000 to over $800,000, though most of the homes will be available between $350,000 and $450,000. One way the developer is able to offer homes at these price points is by reducing the size of the units which will likely range from 400 to 850 square feet. In many ways, Vida is reminiscent of the Moda Condominium project in Belltown. Moda provided an affordable alternative with homes ranging from a very cozy 300 square feet to about 1,000 square feet. Moda was a hit buyers and sold out within a couple of weeks. Bellevue is realizing significant job growth, particularly with technical and professio
