I was driving home yesterday when I saw a man with one leg — no, this is not a joke He was standing at the corner of a busy intersection holding a sign that said . . . unemployed, homeless, hungry. How sad. I really wanted to help him by giving him some money but who knows what he’d do with it. Instead, I gave him my lunch I bought from McDonalds. (Yes, I eat there even without my kids. Their fries rock!) I’m not sure what he was expecting but he didn’t look too thrilled. Maybe he’s watching his cholesterol? In any case, beggars can’t be choosy, right?
