Becky is a 5 year old Sheltie Mix. She was given up because she has allergies and lost a lot of her fur. Her family didn't have the money to take care of her. I have my Bernina 1230 in the shop -- it's been there for two weeks now (one week because the tech was on vacation :cry: ). I'd be sewing for a few minutes, stop, do more pinning and go back to the machine and it would start squeeling -- sounds like rubber rubbing against rubber, seems like it's coming from the top right part of the head. I told her it doesn't squeel as soon as you start up the machine. The tech called me the next day and scolded me for not cleaning and oiling it -- I'm usually very fastidious about. Okay, so I may have missed it recently. Good it wasn't squeeling. Then I asked the tech if she sewed on it for a while, let it rest and then start sewing again. She said no. She called me back and said it was squeeling and said I needed a new motor. She ordered it and went on vacation, which I was aware of.
Today I call her and she said the motor didn't take care of the squeeling and she needed to take it apart. So I'm wondering if anyone else has expe
