The 3-acre property, a former residence of UB Chairman Vijay Mallya when he controlled Best & Crompton (B&C), may fetch as high as Rs 225250 crore, sources said.Mr Sivasankaran has mandated CB Richard Ellis to sell the property through an auction, with five bidders indicating early interest. I received an email notification today from YouTube about a video created by Matt Dickman. It is a video about Facebook Beacon. In the video Matt gives a demonstration how Facebook Beacon works by using a real-life example showing how you can set up Typepad blog to send blog feed to your Facebook dashboard. You can control what data you would like to allow Facebook Beacon to send to your Facebook. The example is simple and clearly shows the integration process between the two sites (Typepad and Facebook). It is worth watching the video if you curious and like to know more about how Facebook Beacon works.
Last week our class discussed the privacy concerns surrounding Facebook Beacon, which was launched November 6th.Here's a link from WikiHow on how to use Firefox to completely disable Beacon. Eventually, like the News Feed, Facebook is going to come up with their own way to permenantly opt-out (or how about even an option to opt-in??). Surprisingly enough, there has been a pile of whining about Facebook and its latest bit with advertising, from privacy implications, to just about everything under the sun. what has not been stated, yet needs to be:
There is an easy way to stop worrying about Facebook beacon advertising — Stop using Facebook. If you really want to add insult to injury, you can also stop shopping at stores no matter how cool that use Facebook beacon advertising.
If you really hate the whole thing and think that it is evil, vote with your clicking fingers, just stop going to Facebook.
If facebook’s population and page views suddenly come to a screeching halt, well that might be the way to change what you or the general public wants changed.
Silicon Alley insider basically says the same thing, and they are the only other ones who seem to avoid whining and provide at least a short term solution, much like stop using Facebook.
The short-term solution: Turn off Beacon until you can make it fully

I have been playing fantasy baseball since 2000 with my fantasy team, the Beacon Mets. I have had some good seasons and some bad seasons, but it is always a fun time. Now in our 8th season we hope to have a repeat of last years season being the World Series Champs of our league. One thing we also hope to hold on to is that every time we make the playoffs, we win the World Series. A big bragging and intimidation record we hold. One other interesting fact also is every time Lance Berkman is our MVP, we also win the World Series. So we have Lance again this year and are ready for 07 and our third World Series Title.
This years draft turned out pretty good. Although we are a better offensive team than pitching; we are happy to take the best catcher, Joe Mauer, and closer, Francisco Rodríguez, in baseball as well as this years number one prospect, Delmon Young. If anything holds us back though it would have to be our starting rotation that has three injury prone starters that pose a great

On Sunday I took part in my planned LDWA (Long Distance Walkers Association) event, The Beacon Bash, near Wigan. It is a 21 mile event with approximately 2200ft of ascent. I had entered as a runner, but the day before I got an email from Alan Silcock. Alan entered the 2006 Marathon des Sables but had to retire through injury on day 2. He is going back for the 2007 MDS in 5 weeks. He is very busy cramming in a lot of last minute training as he had to take 2 months off around Christmas after having an operation to remove his appendix. He is also walking this years’ MDS, and not running at all.
