Es ist noch gar nicht so lange her, da habe ich Xdrive als kostenloses Netzlaufwerk genutzt, da ich von dem Service durchaus überzeugt war. Leider sind zwei unschöne Dinge passiert:Der Service war (zumindest bei der kostenlosen Variante) immer öfter nicht zu erreichen und wenn man connecten konnte, dann war der Datentransfer ausgesprochen langsam.Von einem Tag auf den anderen funktionierte Xdrive nicht mehr mit deutschen Umlauten -Ä,Ö,Ü & Co. wurden in den Datei- und Verzeichnisnamen durch Sonderzeichen ersetzt, was zu Problemen beim Handling führte.Ich weiß nicht, ob diese Schwierigkeiten inzwischen behoben sind, auf jeden Fall war der Service aus meiner Sicht nicht mehr sinnvoll nutzbar, so dass ich mich nach Alternativen umsah und Xdrive den Rücken kehrte.Eine (zumindest aktuell hervorragend funktionierende) Variante will ich vorstellen: Die Nutzung von Googlemail als Netzlaufwerk.Googlemail bietet inzwischen jedem, der es möchte, kostenlos > 4 GB Speicherplatz für M

Yesterday, the Fed cut their rate half a percentage point to 4.75, making the prime rate to 7.75 percent.  This will help borrowers because it will be cheaper to borrow money.  The rate will fall for credit cards interests and home equity line, encouraging borrowing.  Great!  More ways to help us run up our debt! Most people think that the mortgage rate will decrease because of this move from the fed but this is not true!  The fed cutting its rate does not mean that the fix mortgage rate will go down.  Consider that from out of the 13 rate cuts from Jan 2001 to June 2003, the 30-year fix rate mortgage in the month after fell eight times but rose 5 times! In a recent post in which I pointed out that the Christian bible is a poor basis of morality, many interesting comments emerged through the sea of argument between a handful of Christian trolls and regular readers. I realized that my initial post did not do justice to the points I was trying to make. This is an elaboration on that post.In my previous post, I offered the example of Exodus 34: 13-17 to suggest that the Christian bible cannot seriously be viewed as any sort of guide to moral behavior. I noted that the Christian has a few options for dealing with passages such as this one, one of which is to interpret them away through the standard claim that context is lacking and that additional study is needed to arrive at the "right" interpretation.
