    Ben Barnes (born August 20, 1981) is an English actor. He has appeared in such television series as Doctors and Split Decision. He appeared in the 2007 films Stardust and Bigga than Ben. In February 2007, it was announced Barnes would play the role of Caspian in the forthcoming film adaption of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, directed by Andrew Adamson.[1] To take up the offer of playing Caspian, Barnes left his role as Dakin in the Royal National Theatre production of The History Boys ahead of the end of his contract. Barnes is an alumnus of King's College School, where he was a contemporary of film actor Khalid Abdalla and comedian Tom Basden.

The New York Jets have announced that they have released FB Darian Barnes from the active roster. He was inactive for six of the Jets eleven games this season. The Jets signed Barnes as a free-agent in the offseason to be the lead blocker for Thomas Jones, however, it appears that he never caught on. The team also announced that they have released former Rutgers CB Manny Collins and signed WR David Ball. Ball went undrafted in this past April and signed on with the Chicago Bears. He was later released by the team. Ball is not fast or terribly elusive, but he has great hands, runs crisp routes and was ultra-productive at New Hampshire, where he caught 58 touchdown passes, shattering Jerry Rice’s Division I-AA record. With fullback Stacy Tutt on the injured reserve, the Jets will likely move forward with tight ends Joe Kowalewski and Jason Pociask filling that role. The Jets currently have one spot on the active roster open.

Tonight’s results I thought were very fair, with John Barnes being booted off Strictly Come Dancing after being in the bottom two on three occassions. The shock (or perhaps not?) of the night was Kelly Brook and Brendan Cole were also in the bottom two and had to dance for survival and the judges votes. Luckily they did get the judges votes. All four judges saved them after their lacklustre and frankly below par Samba. That may seem harsh but yes, Kelly has set herself a standard so it’s natural for people to expect more. I’m sure this will give her a kick up the bum and she will work so hard for next week. Next week the dancers will have to perform two dances per week; this should really sort out the good, the bad and the ugly…and Kenny. Not really..we love Kenny!
