      Chakra Balancing Meditation
PURPOSE OF THE CHAKRA BALANCING SELF-MEDITATION The purpose of the chakra balancing meditation is to open and clear the chakras the Reiki way. It will align higher frequency energies and also purify/release any stored negative energy from your body/aura. Here is the chakra balancing meditation: • Sit comfortably on a chair with your hands on your legs (I have found with the palms facing upwards more beneficial) • Whilst sitting close your eyes and concentrate on your breath, nice deep slow breathing • Put you attention on the base Root chakra - visualize the chakra as a bright RED ball spinning clockwise - as you focus on the base chakra - breathe in red - breathe out red. Repeat for 2 - 3 minutes.NOTE: Ensure you see the red ball's energy is spinning at the Root chakra and also

      Balancing Hiring Needs with Growth.
We are a start-up and we don’t have a brand. We want to expand by hiring more, but human resource consultants are expensive. In some cases, they charge more than the hiree’s one month salary as commission. We can’t afford this. How do we go about hiring good talent without spending too much that can strain our meagre resources. The second question is how do we motivate existing employees when we hire more. As the staff strength grows, they start feeling neglected and begin to leave for bigger brands. How do we deal with this?On the first question, it is a very tricky area. If the entrepreneur’s need is special and he has no network to feed in the talent required, then it is imperative to have an HR search firm working for him. What you could do in this case is try and negotiate with th

But this theory is no longer workable because of the many mortgage loan products available in the market. Before choosing a mortgage loan, it is very important to decide which one is right for you.Finding the right loan means balancing your mortgage loan options with your housing requirements and financial goals, now and in the future. Keep in mind, the right mortgage is not just having the lowest interest rate but much more. And this “much more” will be determined by your personal situation.Your personal situation and your limits to pay for monthly mortgage payments can be evaluated by at the very least answering the following questions:- What

This season I had mid-terms during fashion week and last season I had final exams. I laugh and sigh about how the shows I got invited to that didn't interfere with my exams. I remember last season I had an exam at 8:30am and I had to go to the Tibi show that started at 9:00am. I was going to tackle her, get her in a half nelson, and buff her eyes down, but then she gave me my croissant and I became distracted. I have nothing against aggressive eye lining (Diana Ross's signature look) it was the rest of her naked territory staring me in the face… an uneven skin tone, dry lips and a couple of lonely cheekbones available for coloring. I see too much of this - an unfinished face. She looked like some poor soul was in the middle of a makeover and security walked in and broke it up. I'm not suggesting for a minute one has to be over zealous in front of the mirror at five thirty in the morning. But life is a balancing act and so is beauty! Balancing Risk And Debt With Adverse Credit Secured Loans
Many individuals that are in debt are struggling to manage monthly payments and balance their regular bills as well. Unfortunately, this can lead to severe credit issues and bankruptcy if not dealt with and managed appropriately. This is the case for the 317 people that are declared bankrupt and the 2,750 that have County Court Judgements (CCJs) issued against them every way. Those figures were accurate as of July 2007 and those numbers are set to rise in the near future as a result of increasing debt. Those individuals that have had their credit score reduced will need to look into very specific financial solutions for their debt problems, and perhaps the most viable are adverse credit secured loans. Adverse credit secured loans are open to all homeowners that have poor credit scores, which accounts for a relatively high percentage of all of those in severe debt. Credit scores do not matter in the relative scheme of things if you have something to offer up as collateral, such as a ho

Whereas his first post on the matter was a simple overview, Mr. Sirlin has taken the second column and used it as an opportunity to really get into the nitty gritty changes being looked at for individual characters. It's not Street Fighter for a lot of people without Ryu, so it's only natural that everyone's favorite (or least favorite) Shoto just so happens to be the first one on the chopping block. The Importance of Balancing Work and Home Life
It is important to make sure that you are getting the most out of both parts of your life. Obviously, when you neglect work duties and focus on leisure activities you will soon notice when you don’t have the money to pay bills. But making sure that you don’t spend too much time working is just as important. If you spend one hundred percent of your awake time working, every single day of the week, you’ll not only become boring, as the old saying goes, you will begin to find it harder to summon motivation about work projects and such.So before you find yourself slumped and drained of energy, take a moment to consider if a five or ten minute break might put all your perspective right again. It has been shown that, depending on the person, the human brain needs a break from monotonous thinking every sixty to one hundred twenty minutes. SO maybe pushing on and making yourself crank out another hour of work before you take a break isn’t always the most productive decision. And you’

Summer is like that, of course, with lots of picnics and weekend outings and adventures of all sorts, and though I've been having the occasional hookup, most of my summer has been consumed by more substantial activities and events than casual sex. This is something of a mixed bag for me. I really like casual sex, and I like having it be part of my life. And though I think I'm moving -- slowly -- in the direction of thinking I want to have some more serious relationship in my life. I was talking to a friend about this and she kindly pointed out the obvious: I don't have to choose between the two. But it still does mean shifting my efforts, which have, in the last couple of years, pretty much focused on the casual side of things, to include a bit more variety. So, that may mean that on those (embarrassingly infrequent, I know) occasions when I manage to remind myself to post here, I may be s

      Balancing Operational and Financial Risk
You can take the risks that your company faces and put them into two broad categories: 1. Operational risk. These are risks in terms of how well your company will operate. Will you be able to execute on your business plan? Will you generate the kind of sales that you need? Will your cost keep within control? 2. Financial risk. This is related to the financial structure in your business. How much financial risk are you taking on? In other words, are you very highly leveraged with debt? Do you have some safety room in your financial area? You want to strike a balance between the two. If you have both high operating risk and high financial risk, you give yourself very little room to operate. If something goes wrong, you could be out of business very quickly. So, if you have high operating risk, consider being more conservative financially. Don’t take on as much debt. Have more equity in place. Have more cash on hand in order to give yourself breathing room in case the operating side of

      Balancing Your Budget
How to make dollars and sense of wedding financesNo matter what you're planning to spend, the key to making the most of your wedding-planning moolah is to stay organized. That means anticipating what you'll need (as well as identifying those things you must have), and estimating how much money to put aside for it all.To help you figure out the figures, we've created a list of every major wedding-day cost, including the percentage of your budget you should plan to spend on each item. Of course, the worksheet can be tailored to your needs and desires (e.g. add a few percentage points to the food budget because you must have a raw bar, then subtract from music because you got a great deal from some friends). If you intend to hire a wedding consultant, her fees are usually a percentage of your total budget (10-20 percent, depending on her involvement). Take her fee right off the top of your total and figure the rest from there. One last piece of advice: most weddings run 10 percent ove

      Balancing My Creative Endeavors
The photo in this entry is Feline Comfort. Photographed and edited by me, Lynda Walldez. The photo featured in this entry is one of the latest I have photographed, using a Nikon D50 that my mother owns. It is of a beautiful stray cat that hangs out in my area. He is friends with my cat Shadow. This cat decided to come into the house yesterday because he was so hungry, so my sister offered it some cans of food. We were unable to let him stay for long because my mother doesn't want any other cats around besides Shadow. He might stick around outdoors for a while.Although I had big plans for getting my own professional camera and how I would use it, plans have changed. I'm going to reserve my photography as a personal creative endeavor. I simply don't have the funds or equipment to pursue something greater than what I can already do. So I'm going to try balancing photography, writing, and art instead of focusing on just one of them. I'll have to settle for using my mother's camera wh

      balancing act
Every thing in life is a balancing act. I really do believe in karma. For the most part, things happen in equal portions of good and bad. Or not necessarily BAD, but … not good. Take, for instance, my last posting. I extolled the incredibly wonderful event with my man. I didn’t, however, mention that there were some physical problems that hindered our “lovemaking” (I can never say that word without thinking of some bizarre Will Farrel SNL skit). That was the balance. Yes, he made me feel wonderful emotionally and physically but still, good & not so good collide. Those problems are ongoing - it’s MY problem, not hubby’s. I’m not sure of the origin, but it bites…. big time. But we’ll get through it, as we always do. It’s terribly frustrating, though, so I come here to write about it, not to necessarily share it with you all, but just to get it out & look at it from perhaps a different perspective. Believe i

Balancing Fitness and a Busy Work Schedule
One of the big obstacles to keeping up with a solid fitness routine for many people is work. Having to work extra hours often means cutting out the time at the gym, the evening walk or whatever exercise you try to work in on a regular basis. Sometimes you do just have to accept that a fitness routine isn’t going to work for the moment. However, most of the time you can find a way to work fitness into your lifestyle. Are you still taking lunch breaks? If not, get back into the habit! Failing to eat lunch will make you less productive, and if you get a sandwich or something you can eat as you walk, you can get a bit of exercise time right then. It may not be your usual routine, but it will help reenergize you so that you can work effectively again, as well as helping you to maintain a level of fitness. You should also take a look at what that busy schedule is doing to your eating habits. It probably makes you eat out more, and eat fewer healthy foods. If you make the effort you can

      Balancing Robustness and Evolvability
An open access/free article from PLoS Biology: Balancing Robustness and Evolvability* Richard E. Lenski (homepage), Jeffrey E. Barrick, Charles Ofria One of the most important features of biology is the ability of organisms to persist in the face of changing conditions. Consider the remarkable fact that every organism alive today is the product of billions of generations in which its progenitors, without fail, managed to produce progeny that survived to reproduce. To achieve this consistency, organisms must have a balance between robustness and evolvability, that is, between resisting and allowing change in their own internal states [1, 2**, 3]. Moreover, they must achieve this balance on multiple time scales, including physiological responses to changes over an individual life and evolutionary responses, in which a population of genomes continually updates its encoded information about past environments and how future generations should respond given that record. Examples of robust

State College Balancing its Budget One Drink at a Time
Between my two daughters and myself, we've attended seven different colleges in cities large and small over the years. You get kind of used to having your wallet lightened along the way, but a current proposal in State College, Pa., has me feeling sorry for faculty and students -- even if they are fans of the Nittany Lions. The State College Borough Council is talking about slapping a per-drink tax on alcoholic beverages sold at restaurants and bars in the town that is home to Penn State University. The municipality says the tax will go to pay for services used by problem drinkers and for police. The tax would be on top of various other federal and state excise taxes placed on alcohol. In Pennsylvania, an 18 percent alcohol tax already generates more than $200 million a year for the state. The per-drink tax idea might not be limited to State College. Borough officials believe they will get more support in the state capital for the legislation if it would be open for use by all Pennsylvan

Balancing Needs & Risks in Unit Trust Investment
Investors who are not far from retirement are a cautious group, and with good reason too. They know they need to carefully balance their investment weightings of stocks and bonds to keep their nest egg growing - but without too much risk. That's where balanced funds come in. Balanced funds are funds that invest in a diversified portfolio of common stock, preferred stocks, bonds and sort-term bonds, to provide both income and capital growth while avoiding excessive risks. For the balanced funds, the ratio of stocks to bonds is determined by the fund's objective and the fund manager. On the average, their ratio of stocks to other investments is approximately 60:40. Managers of balanced funds can, however, shift ratio one way or the other to take advantage of high interest rates or stock market growth. These funds may be equity-oriented and skewed toward stocks, or income-oriented and skewed toward bonds. For Full Article Click Heretechnorati tags: unit trust investment balance fund

Online Business Success - Balancing Between Action and Exploring New Things for Your Business
Online Business Success - Balancing Between Action and Exploring New Things for Your Business I was asked the other day about how I can grow my business and stay on the cutting edge with what seems to be the latest marketing technologies every time. My answer is simple. I don't. Frankly speaking, I never was the first one to use any technology as a marketing tool or channel. It seems like that, but most of the time the technology has been there for at least one or two years before I decided I'd take a plunge and learn how it can be applied to marketing and business. One thing I've learned from years of doing online business is that you have to be dynamic in seeing and adapting to changes. This certainly applies to businesses whenever they are, both offline and online. The fact is, online,
