Ich bin ein… Bagel? Obama gets his own bagel!
Comparisons of Barack Obama to President Kennedy have been thrown around like vulgarities in Congressman Jim Traficant’s prison cell. So when I saw this in a FOX news article of Barack Obama’s trip to the Middle East, it reminded me instantly of one of my favorite JFK moments. The candidate’s visit in the West Bank [...]

      Bagel Boss Catering
Sabrina, our niece, had her Jewish Baby Naming Party today and the spread was amazing. Kasi (Lon's sister) hired Bagel Boss Bagel Boss to do the catering. She ordered the gold package plus an omelet station and the 50+ guests were constantly raving about the food.Let's start with the fish: lox, smoked whitefish, pickled herring, smoked sable. They were all fresh and perfectly flavored. My mom kept telling me how much she loved them as she ate plate after plate. I have to agree. They were all fantastic. The Sun Dried Tomato Pasta Salad was nicely balanced. The California Salad was one of my favorites. I already love the combination of fruits, nuts, and cheese, but this feta was so creamy and it was just so attractive. I forgot to put dressing on, while I was piling stuff on my plate, and I di

      Bagel Safety
This is totally non craft related and you're wondering why I would bother to write about bagels. No I haven't lost it, honest. Not a bit of crafty news in this post. Although, if you like to snack on bagels while scanning your craft cupboard or a stack of magazines, well that would make bagels a craft related topic..... So why bagels? Okay, so my dh, like all men, loves gadgets. He's been on a

      Special bagel at Village Bagels
Today we had decided beforehand to go to the Bazel building on Vijzelstraat. It used to be owned by a bank, but they sold it and it was refurbished and now it is a conference center and city archive, so it’s publicly accessible now. They also have a cafe and we decided to check it out. Although the building is very impressive inside, the cafe was not. So a few seconds after sitting down, we decided to go somewhere else. The closest thing that came to our minds were the Village Bagels and the Go Freshshop on the corner of Vijzelstraat en Prinsengracht. When we got there we had to decide between the two. The Go Freshshop was empty and the Village Bagels was almost full, so of course we went to the Village Bagels The Village Bagels is your typical bagel sandwich shop with bagels with all kinds of toppings, sweets things like muffins and brownies and a variety of drinks and juices and coffees. After looking at the menu board, there are no loose menus on the tables, we both decided

The Zipper Wave problem posted by Bagel
I'm actually an intermediate sewer. However, over the years the seperated zippers I install always seem to come out with a huge wave in the middle. No puckering of the material just a big wave in the center. the top and bottom match and fit the pattern piece but the wave always seems to be there. What advice can you give me? Thanks, MichelleLast post by EveS at Fri 09 May 2008 08:28:43 PM Total posts: 7 Visit PatternReview.com to read this entire topic.Research your Sewing Machine at PatternReview.com.
