A Bad Day and a Bad Week
So far this has been a pretty bad week. I lost $8,000 on Monday, broke even Tuesday through Wednesday, and lost over $7,600 today. Terrible book ends.Oil skyrocketed today, and finally broke through $140 resistance. This is a bad sign. The higher oil prices helped bring the DOW down over 300 points, and put a hurtin on the airline sector. I decided to dump UAUA, since it looked like the handwritin

Don't Beat Yourself Up Over a Bad Day
You are going to have moments of weakness and times when you overeat. Don't beat yourself up when you overindulge . Instead put yourself back on track the next day. Give yourself credit for everything you have been doing on other days. Every day is different, do the best you can do now. You can workout a little longer and burn some of those extra calories. When things go wrong stay away from faulty thinking and negative self talk and just re focus and try to make it right . Negative self talk is your greater enemy than food itself. Being too hard on yourself will only make it worse.

Honestly, Daisy has never done this before. She actually pulled this small bed over her head and burrowed under. I think she is trying to escape that Bad Dog Chico Martini whose continual admiration has gotten on her very last nerve. Daisy wants Lone Chatelaine to know that there is always room for two!

A bad day fishing beats a good day at work
I managed to get the week off work and made plans with my old man to fish our local harbor today. Even though everything seemed right we just couldn't take a trick and the day ended with a quick run back to the boat ramp to beat one of the tropical storms we get. The fishing was slow and even though we caught a few fish they were all very small. Sometimes fishing is like that though and the uncertainty and challenge is what makes it fun. Most anglers have heard the saying a bad day fishing beats a good day at work, but what I want to know is if you stand by this saying or not? Please leave a comment.

      Having a Bad day.
A man was working on his motorcycle on his patio and his wife was in the kitchen. The man was racing the engine on the motorcycle when it accidentally slipped into gear. The man, still holding onto the handle bars, was dragged through the glass patio doors and along with the motorcycle dumped onto the floor inside the house. The wife, hearing the crash, ran into the dining room and found her husband lying on the floor cut and bleeding. On seeing the motorcycle lying next to him and the shattered patio door the wife ran to the phone and summoned the ambulance. Because they lived on a fairly large hill the wife went down the several flights of stairs to the street to escort the paramedics to her husband. After the ambulance arrived and transported the man to the hospital the wife righted the

      David's Bad Day
I pulled up to the curb at the school and my four kids piled in. It's David's month to sit in the front seat (don't ask me how they arrived at this system of rotation all I know is that they did it themselves and it's saved me hours of parental agony) and he shut the door behind him, dropping his backpack onto the floor mat."How was your day?" I asked, knowing what kind of answer to expect but determined to be cheerful nonetheless--kind of an emotional tactical manoeuvre if you will, adopted after years of guerrilla parenting."Bad," he said, his already droopy cheeks drooping even closer to the ground."So what happened?" I asked, "Was it bad in an bad-things-happened kind of way or was it more of a why-didn't-anything-good-happen way?""Bad stuff, really bad stuff.""For example?""Well in gym we had to play basketball and I had to play Horse with this girl. Bad day for IT
Infosys results for this quarter have generally disappointed the markets resulting in a bad day for IT stocks in general. Infosys crashed by almost 7% today and closed at Rs 1976. Satyam lost about 8.5 % today and closed at Rs 448. All the sectors were up today except for IT. The major factor contributing towards this downfall is obviously the rising rupee. In this calendar year rupee has appreciated by almost 11%. Considering that you can imagine the kind of impact it will have on the IT Company’s financial numbers. Infosys alone has lost almost Rs 2000 cr because of this appreciation.

There was supposedly hazardous materials on the train. 14 year old gets suspended for fighting, comes back to school with two guns, starts shooting and then kills himself. Four shot and wounded. Just unbelievable! I hate the fact that things like that happen, especially since J is a teacher too. I get worried everytime she goes to school. What’s the world coming too when we can’t even be safe in schools and colleges? 18 year old gets drunk and accidentally falls to his death from the 11th floor of his condominium residence. 09/25/2007 6:17 PM PST - UPDATE - We rarely update a file but GuyCool4002 has reported at this link that demonoid is not down, not a victim of CRIA, and that the torrent freak article cited here is FUD. We generally trust torrent freak, but anything with bittorrent has a lot of agenda, so don’t know, the circuitbox.com link is not known to us, but is a valuable counterpoint to this article. Thanks - Admin. Original article - Version 1 no updates: ISOHunt shut down all their trackers to US users, and now Techcrunch and Torrent Freak are reporting that demonoid has been shut down by CRIA. Two Bittorrent master systems in one day is a huge victory for Anti-P2P, and a bad day for Bittorrent site users. Nevertheless, here is how it is going to backfire. If anyone remembers the Pirate Bay take down, the pirate bay was back in days and more popular than ever. We expect the same from demonoid, that when they come back, they will be more popular than ever, with more users, more content,

Bad Day Part Deux aka The Big Blowout ...
So I'm minding my own business and cleaning the house when what to my wondering eyes should appear? An angry MCB, that fills me full of fear. At the time I wasn't sure what was making him so angry. That was to become apparent later in the evening. But suffice to say, he was very cold and distant as he walked into the house. I just continued with my chores of sweeping the kitchen and then I moved on to cleaning the bathroom which was in need of some serious scrubbing. Apparently, this was my big mistake. Later that night, I was making dinner when MCB rambled into the room. The conservation seemed to start innocently enough, as we talked about what I had done the night before. It soon deteriorated into a screaming match of epic proportion. MCB started demanding a departure date for when hubby and I would be out of his house. Of course in the next breath, he was sure to point out that we shouldn't leave unless we were ready and that he wasn't kicking us out. But to hear the init

So You Had a Bad Day
Well, my baby has finally experienced his first bad day. His bad day started out like any other bad day. He woke up happy and excited and it all went downhill from there. The discipline system in his school is a card system. They all start on green and can progress through yellow, white, red, and black. Black means you get sent home because you've already seen the principal and he apparently didn't put the fear of God into you enough to make you behave. Anyway Gavin got on red for having a very chatty day apparently. So he was distraught all day because this is a kid that usually strives to act right. To top it off, he filled up his water bottle shortly before school let out but didn't screw the cap on tight enough. He put the bottle in his backpack and what proceeded embarrassed the kid to no end. The bottle leaked into his backpack. The water leaked through the seams of the backpack and of course made it look like he was peeing as he was walking.I know, I know. Visualizing this ma

and thank goodness no one started singing that song to me. Not that it’s a bad song, just that it’s one that I might have liked a lot if it wasn’t so overplayed. There are a lot of songs on that list. Anyway, things are getting better. We are house hunting again, something I actually kind of enjoy doing, although I spend a lot of time thinking “Well, I’d like the living room from this house, the kitchen from that house - although it needs to be updated to look like the picture in this magazine - the built-ins from here and the closets from there. And I don’t want it to look like every other house in the neighborhood, because I’m a brat and my house must be special.” Which we could do if we were building our own house, but we aren’t, so we must…compromise, or something. There are a few houses we’ll be going to see this weekend. So, last night I'm innocently emptying the dishwasher and washing the coffee pot when in blunders MCB. Obviously he had been out gettin' his drink on as he waddled past me grunting a few words and stomped up the stairs to bed. A few moments later, I heard yelling coming from MCB's bedroom. When I inquired what the matter was, he mumbled down something about "What The Hell Are You Doing Down There ??!!". I was confused because all I was doing was loading the dishwasher. But in the interest of avoiding an argument I apologized for what MCB apparently thought I had done wrong. I then continued with my tasks but much, much more quietly than before. Apparently, cleaning up is something that should never be done when MCB is around. It seems to anger the beast. Cleaning should be seen not heard. I think we need to hire the Underpants Gnomes from South Park to clean (quietly) in the middle of the night. They would be cheap to hire since MCB's bedroom would be a gold mine of

      A Bad Day
Yeah, Wednesday was a rough one for yours truly. I have an enormous amount of material to cover, and in the midst of it all, I had to be taken to the ER. Note to all of you: if you see about 60 bees flying in your shrubs, don't go near them. I got bit on the forearm, and it swelled up faster than Mark McGwire's in the 1990s. I also got one on the forehead, which undoubtedly expanded quicker than Barry Bonds'.Ironically, when I was taken to the hospital, I was given a shot of steroids in my backside as a remedy. I now feel like I can go out and hit 73 home runs next season. Now that I'm back in the saddle, I'm hoping that today goes a bit smoother and bee-free. Now, on to all the points I need to cover:1. As you've noticed, my Deadspin Steelers preview did not run on Wednesday, as I was told and reported to you. Here's the skinny: due to the size and style of my article, it takes Deadspin a long time to format all of the photos and links that I use. Time that they didn't have on

After viewing the kittens, we made a round or two with the adult cats. I figured he'd want to take a few out and play with them in the cat visiting rooms, but rather than do that he decided he wanted a kitten. He seemed to have already picked out the very first kitten we saw.Her name at the shelter was Lil' Homie. The sign said she was short-hair, but judging by how fluffy she was the shelter volunteer said there was no way she would be a short-hair when she grew up. Monday Off-Base Diary: Bad Day At Work Edition
It's not easy coming back to work after a long vacation, kids. It's even less facile when you get in trouble immediately upon setting foot in the door for things that happened while you were out. So,in the spirit of reminding us all that life is not that bad, LOHO is proud to bring you, once again, "People Who Are Having A Worse Day Than You." We begin with this guy: Sunday's wet afternoon turned tragic when lightning struck and killed a scuba diver who was surfacing in the ocean off Hillsboro Inlet. His death was one of several incidents in Broward and Miami-Dade counties linked to the heavy rain and thunderstorms that engulfed the area. The bolt struck the 36-year-old diver about 3:30 p.m. as he was surfacing from 30 feet beneath the boat he was on with friends and fellow divers. Dude. There is only one way you should die in the water: shark attack. Anything else and you run the risk of winding up on News of the Weird and being nominated for a Darwin Award. And being mentioned in

My day basically started at midnight - well… i was on the night shift at the pediatric emergency room ER and it was a heck of a day with multiple admissions and some bit of constant visitors that needed treatment. I got home around 8AM and I went to bed, I woke up [...]

We hit a new definition of a bad day in the Laurel houshold...
Yes, that would be the handy work of my oldest 13 yr old son. "But Mom I was just moving a chair (while lying on the ground) and it fell over and crashed through my brother's window."Right now I am sitting here collecting my thoughts watching oldest son, clean my kitchen, making ME lunch, sweeping the patio, vacuuming my front room...while I decided if I will let him live or not. Is this why mother's eat their young???It's only money, right? And if you think by posting this I am looking for sympathy of being a Mother to all boys, you are right. This is one of the days I want to climb into bed and pull the covers back up. Sigh...This is only a fly in the ointment right? The sun will come out tomorrow, and all that stuff. But for now now I am enjoying watching him clean his little hiney off =)

Silva Dream Machine, Cesc And A Bad Day For ‘Old Boys’
It’s days like yesterday that prove a Bloggers lot is not always an entirely happy one. Purely from a selfish point of view, I hasten to add. You spend hours thinking about a post, how you can defend the Manager’s policy of not rushing into the transfer market because every Tom, Dick and Harry demands it. Unconvincingly, you sort of come up with something. And what happens? Said Manager buys someone. A bolt from the blue. Well, thanks a bleedin’ lot Arsene, not even the courtesy of a mail or phone call to apologise. No, straight off to Wimbledon for some more R&R for him. Anyway, the panic stricken are appeased. In Eduardo da Silva, Arsene has purchased a forward, someone who it seems is a genuine ‘goalscorer’. I am loathe to use the words ‘fox in the box‘ because I do not want to stigmatise the lad and he seems to have more about his game than that if the reports about him are true. It is a good time for him to be signed with the pre-seaso

      Bad Day at Work
We all have bad days. Days when things are just not going right. Stuck behind a slow driver or a train or a truck, our schedule is running a bit too tight for our comfort, or a number of other happenings. We're just not happy campers sometimes.A word to the wise: never get to point where you act like this idiot. After all, your reputation as a serious business person is constantly open for all to see. Here's to your success!Tony

Whoa! How Is This For A Bad Day…
A man whose electric wheelchair became lodged in the grille of a truck was accidentally pushed down a highway for several kilometres at about 80km/h. (50mph) Ben Carpenter, who has muscular dystrophy, was crossing at an intersection in Paw Paw, Michigan, when the lights changed from red to green. The truck driver couldn’t see him still crossing and bumped into the side of the wheelchair, which then started turning forward, its handles becoming lodged in the grille. Motorists called 911 on their cellphones.  New Zealand Herald He’s going to tell that story for the rest of his life. Bookmark this article:

      Good Day, Bad Day
The first part of yesterday was pretty fabulous. At around 11am I met up with Rob, and we headed out to the Bullo Dong tombs (which are essentially located behind the Daegu airport, if you're interested). The Bullo Dong tombs are giant earthen mounds which house the remains of the royalty who ruled this area in the 5th and 6th centuries. While I'd been to the Bullo Dong tombs back in 2004, I

      Having A Bad Day?
A woman came home to find her husband in the kitchen shaking frantically, almost in a dancing frenzy, with some kind of wire running from his waist towards the electric kettle. Intending to jolt him away from the deadly current, she whacked him with a handy plank of wood, breaking his arm in two places. …Up until that moment, he had been happily listening to his new Walkman. Having a Bad Day???? The average cost of rehabilitating a seal after the Exxon Valdez Oil spill in Alaska was $80,000.00. At a special ceremony, two of the most expensively saved animals were being released back into the wild amid cheers and applause from onlookers. A minute later, in full view, a killer whale ate them both. Still think you are having a Bad Day???? Iraqi terrorist Khay Rahnajet didn’t pay enough postage on a letter bomb, so it came back to him with “Return to Sender” stamped on it. Forgetting the envelope contained his own bomb, he opened it …and was blown to bits. There now, feelin

      Bad day for horrible pitchers
It hasn't been the best of days for guys that are downright horrible at the art of pitching. The Marlins and Rockies traded Byung-Hyun Kim for Jorge Julio, while the Twins released Sidney Ponson. The Marlins trade seems to make sense on some levels because both guys are as bad they can be right now and a change of scenery might help both out, but I'm not counting on it. It's like Florida gave Colorado a bladder infection in return for some Gout. Neither party can be all too happy...With Ponson, the Twins must have just realized that they're probably better off sending a crippled lemur to the mound. Ponson had a 2-5 record to go along with a 6.93 ERA and a 1.88 WHIP. Now, I'm not the biggest number cruncher around, but even I recognize that those numbers are beyond putrid. In related crappy pitcher news, Mark Redman pitched pretty well by his standards in a rehab start tonight for the Braves in Richmond. Redman was placed on the D.L. on May 2nd because of an "ingrown toenail", which

      I thought I had a bad day
+27030200 sharesI was surprised at my pnl because I had a lot of losers today. I did not trade well in the morning. I was scrambling and flipping through charts looking for trades. I started of with a couple of losers and I was down over $150 in the first few minutes. It is good that I covered my pnl. If I saw I was down that much it would have a big influence on my trading. I would probably be trading scared or doing revenge trading. Another thing I did right is to keep my size at 200 shares. I had quite a few hits over 30 cents because I hesitated on my exits. I was tempted to check my pnl and see how I am doing. If I did I would probably have my excuse to stop for the day. It is good that I kept trading because later on I caught two small scalps which helped me make the bulk of my profits.

Bad Day For Giuliani: Part Two
You would think if you were the frontrunner for the Republican nomination in the state that hasn't voted for a Republican presidential candidate in 22 years, the state party would be 100% behind you, right?WrongRudy Giuliani doesn't seem to have the support of Joseph Mondello, Chairman of the New York State Republican Committee (and the guy who led the Nassau County Republicans off a cliff), at least not yet. Mondello has put the brakes on Empire State GOP politicians from supporting Giuliani. As such, no Republican in the state legislature has endorsed the former New York City mayor.Meanwhile Hillary Rodham Clinton has gotten support from nearly EVERY elected Democrat in New York State. The Arizona Republican Party has thrown it's support 100% behind Giuliani's chief rival John McCain.Caveat: Joseph Mondello is a close confidant of former Senator Al D'Amato (R-New York) stemming from their days on top of the Nassau County Republican machine.D'Amato and Giuliani, not really frien

Bad Day For Giuliani: Part One
Giuliani's getting some bad press this weekend; In New Hampshire, the all important first primary state, Giuliani released his list of supporters from the Granite State, much to the surprise of some people who found their names on list...and aren't supporters;Like Wendy Stanley Jones, who is listed as head of Women for Giuliani...only, she hasn't yet endorsed Giuliani. The list comes only days after John McCain released his more impressive list of supporters in New Hampshire. McCain has a former Governor while Giuliani doesn't.Good news for the former New York City mayor; some people listed on the list have decided to endorse Giuliani anyway so not to embarass his campaign.

A bad day at counter strike -- A nice idea
It was a pretty bad day at CS, I was relly playing like a noob , Well Still i got a nice idea The latency we were getting was nearly 120 and the game was nearly playable, Reasons ??The data that was being transferred was first going to the proxy server from F hostel and then to the D hostel , so we were traversing two different nw for data transfer.Solution : if we manage to get a dedicated counter strike server installed and preferably on the proxy server that could solve the problem.Advantages: The server is up 24*7 (atleast when we are connected to proxy)The hostel guys can login with the local ip that is 192.168.0.254and the guys living outside can play with a real ip , so what we have is a real dedicated counter strike server.Sound easy isn`t it , :) , well it is , But the problem is it`s really difficult to make it official and Convincing strategy would work untill i am in this college , Still i would be giving a try to that , sounds a real great idea and if i want to play with m

      A Bad Day
Yesterday was about as bad as one could get for Pittsburgh sports. First, the day starts with news that a caravan of school buses crashed en route to the Pirate game. Who were the buses carrying? 300 Laurel Highlands Middle School 8th graders who were going to sing the national anthem. Nothing like a photo like this to tear your heart out:We then fast-forward to the actual Pirate game, where the Team That Stranded 13 Runners dropped a third consecutive game to the St. Louis Cardinals, this time by a count of 3-2. The Pirates, always finding a new way to lose, came from behind to tie the game at 2-2 in the 7th, only to ultimately lose on a Chris Duncan pinch-hit homer in the 9th. The home run was surrendered by Salomon Torres, whose grip on the closer job weakens each day. And the winning pitcher? That would be Ryan Franklin, who's historically significant for the fact that he was the 8th player busted for steroids after MLB instituted their new rules last season. The worst part about t

      Bad Day Gambling
Funny Jokes -A lady is having a bad day at the tables in Vegas. Down to her last $100, completely exasperated, she cries, "What rotten luck! What in the world should I do now?" A gent next to her, trying to calm her down a bit, calmly suggests, "I don't know... Why don't you play your age?" He walks away. Moments later, his he is intrigued to hear a great commotion at the roulette table. Maybe, she won! Rushing back to the table and pushing his way through the crowd, he is stunned to see the lady lying limp on the floor, with the table operator kneeling over her. He asks, "What happened? Is she all right?" The operator replies, "I don't know, buddy.... She put all her money on 29. When 36 came up she fainted!"

I Had A Bad Day … Seeking Defunking Advice
The last 24-48 hours have been kind of rough or as Daniel Powter so aptly and succinctly put it when he sang on American Idol last season, I’ve “had a bad day.” Nothing catastrophic happened and no major emergency occurred. In fact, it was just one of those mostly uneventful bad days - no car accidents, no deaths, no trips to the ER, no blood, no huge loss of money and no excess of bodily fluids … although we did have an unexpected jaunt to the doctor’s office when Cory decided it would be most entertaining to shove a raisin up his right nostril. Oh the joys of exploratory toddlerhood! Ironically enough by the time the doctor got a good look in his nose to remove the foreign object so it wouldn’t affect his breathing or later ferment and cause a horrid infection, Cory had sniffed so hard he ended up swallowing his lovely stash of dried fruit. As the minutes of the day ticked away, I quickly reached my threshold of tolerance and before I knew it I
