What is up with my hair?
When I’m at home, my hair behaves like a lady. She falls nicely past my shoulders and it doesn’t take much more than a few swipes from a brush to make her presentable.
However, get me in another state and it’s a different story. Brushing my hair now makes me look like I just stuck my finger in an electrical socket. And it really doesn’t matter what state I’m in. This is very frustrating when I’m trying to get ready for work in the morning. It’s bad enough that I’m functioning in Hawaii time which is usually a lot earlier than most places, dealing with contacts that just don’t want to go in (I made my Lasik consultation appointment!), and looking into a mirror with bad lighting.
What in the world causes the static? And how to I make it go away? Any suggestions? If I can’t fix this, they’re going to have to make the aisles on the plane a little wider to accommodate my do!

A great trend this season is a headband. There are so many ways to wear them and there are tons of different styles out there. One so sure to tickle your fancy, The hottest ones now are the bohemian scarf look, like the one above, from Avon's Mark line. It is $10 for two of 'em--the other style is just as cute; a burnt orange hue perfect for heading off to the beach. Plus the bands are actual headbands. I mean I've tried and tried to wear regular scarves like headbands but they constantly slide off and bunch up and tangle in my hair. It's ridiculous. This is a great alternative. The band is hidden inside the scarf part and it is pretty stiff (in a good way; it won't move but also will not give you a migraine from tightness).
