Strap pressures at that load can obstruct localized blood flow and contribute to shoulder fatigue.
In some adult professions, such as the military, firefighting and mountain rescue, packs may equal as much as 60 percent of body weight. But even light loads of 26 pounds can decrease upper extremity blood flow, which can result in a loss of fine motor control and increased fatigue.
