This commercial cocktail I was found in one of my barman guide. It is version of famous Papa Doble - the favorite E. Hemingway cocktail in El Floridita Del Medio, Havana. The recipe looks interesting and I decide to try it.

If you are in the Puerto Rico these next two weekends and want to have some fun, make a point to get to the Barcardi Fair (or, in Spanish, La Feria Bacardi). This fair happens once a year - always the first 2 Sundays of December. This year, it is scheduled for December 2 and December 9, 2007.
This year marks the 32nd celebration of this free annual event, held on the grounds of the Barcardi distillery in Catano. Bacardi holds this cultural fair so that local artisans (more than 250 tables set up in 3 huge tents) can have a place to show and sell their wares. You can see almost lost Puerto Rican arts - such as lace making and wood carving - or taste local candies. There will also be live local music going on all day. This is a great family event. There are various stands selling food, drinks and lots of other things. Proceeds from this event goes to help various charities on the island.

If you are here in Puerto Rico this weekend (Dec 2) or next weekend (Dec 9) then why not check out the Bacardi Artisan Fair (Feria Bacardi 2007) which will take place in the grounds of the Bacardi factory in Cataño.
The Bacardi Artisan Fair is an annual event that takes place on the first two Sundays in December. Each day there will be approximately 250 local artisans displaying their works in 3 large tents in the grounds of the factory. This year the fair is going to recognize the Barranquitas artisan Luis Colón Ortiz, who makes musical instruments, and Adjuntas-born Edwin Maldonado Irizarry, who works the potter’s wheel.
There will also be music from local artists and the current line-up is:

This cupcake actually started off as joke between my boyfriend and me. He said it couldn't be done. Ha!It's just a basic chocolate cake recipe that calls for coffee. The recipe I used called for 3/4 cup of warm coffee; I used 1/2 cup of warm coke and 6 tablespoons of rum. Those were the only two changes I made to the recipe. I replaced the milk in the buttercream with rum. I did search for a recipe and found a lot of inspiration; but the deciding factor was that Joe (BF) does not like lime. I opted instead for a faux lime instead of lime juice in the recipe. The cupcakes were tasty, and Joe was shocked when I presented his favorite drink in the form of a cupcake!
The Provincial Court of Madrid has turned away claims by Bacardi that it is the owner of the Havana Club rum brand name in Spain. The court said that selling a rum not made in Cuba using "Havana" in the name could mislead Spanish consumers. We can expect to see more of this in the coming years as beverage giants Pernod Ricard and Bacardi battle it out over who has the rights to the Havana Club rum brand.Bacardi, which fled Cuba nearly a half century ago during the communist takeover, says it is the rightful owner of the brand it had once manufactured in the country. Bacardi started producing Havana Club for sale in the U.S. last year. Pernod Ricard has produced Havana Club in a joint venture with Cuba Ron since 1994.Products made in Cuba are banned from being sold in the U.S.
