Didn't really notice until it came out of the camera. Gulp. Not so London Streets now. I'd better post a picture of a red bus quickly, to compensate.

Adam, who is undergoing chemotherapy for brain cancer, watched his brother David, an Idol favorite, perform Mariah Carey’s hit “Always Be My Baby” from a front row seat during Tuesday’s live broadcast. “I am blown away,” he said in an interview Wednesday with B1027.FM, a local radio station that helped facilitate his trip. “The support of the community made this possible, it literally just lifted my spirits to know I’m from Terre Haute. Bad smell air blown out from your Vehicle A/C vent
Have you experience mildew odor of air that’s coming out from your vehicle A/C vent? If so, then your vehicle A/C system has a drain pan problem, your evaporator drain pan is probably not draining due to a clog somewhere on the drain pan. Evaporator is the main component of the A/C system that makes the air blows cold from you’re A/C vent, the process is that when the A/C is turned on, an air is blown from the blower and passes through the fins of you’re A/C evaporator which then comes out thru you’re A/C vent as cold air. During the process especially on hot and humid days, moisture is formed on the evaporator and drips down to the evaporator drain pan, which then pass through a hose all the way to the streets. When the drain pan does not drain due to clog, the moisture will ge

      BLOWN TIRE RUINS NEWMAN'S NIGHT

In all three weekend practice sessions, Newman was in the top 10. But everything soured just three laps from the checkered flag Saturday night when he cut a tire while leading, dropping from first to a 28th-place finish."I couldn't tell if it felt a little spongy before, but obviously, the car was plenty fast," Newman said. "I felt it pop and it spun around and hit the wall. We tried to complete some more laps after that, but that was it."When the green flag waved at the beginning of the scheduled 334-lap race, Newman started strong, leading the first nine laps.Newman reported the car was a little loose at first, but then it went to the tight side. However, when Newman came in for his first pit stop during the second of 15 caution flags, crew chief Michael Nelson called for right-side tires and fuel only,

The explosions took place in the provinces of Veracruz and Tlaxcala where members of the People’s Revolutionary Army (EPR) carried out the raids. They announced the destruction of pipelines was part of their “national campaign of harassment” against the federal government. America continues debating issues related to Mexican immigrants while failing to address more important needs –how to stimulate the Mexican economy in order to produce jobs and meaningful living standards for its inhabitants.

      Project Blown Away
This image is being posted to participate in a project by a fellow photographer that he has titled: Blown Away. This image has overexposed highlights along the upper edge of the pink blossom as well as the upper part of the stem where it is attached.Try as I might with Photoshop, I wasn't able to "fix" this problem, which could have been avoided when originally taking the picture. The image was darker originally, and any lightening that I attempted to do in the post processing only made the over exposed part more predominate.I have been trying to make a practice of bracketing exposures when shooting the images so I can study the differences. One thing about overexposed areas - the camera picks up no details whatsoever, and any attempt to gain them in post processing is useless - they are just not there. Better to underexpose in this instance so when the image is lightened, there will be some details to work with.

The article also inspired me to start up a group project called “Blown Away“, which asks readers to post an overexposed photo they’ve taken. So here’s one of my entries for the project. This photo was taken at the Petrified Forest, and it was really just an accident. I was going for the bird, but I wasn’t really going for overexposure of the background — my camera just happened to meter that way. So because of that, it’s the only shot I took with these exposure settings. I’m a little disappointed that I centered the bird in my rush to get a shot before it flew away, so I ended up cropping the image for better composition. The JPEG (1) was seriously blown out, but that’s what we’re going for

The Orange Bowl Gets Blown Off
(Typically we file the stadium news under The Marquee to your right, but I felt this was a bigger deal; not just parking lots getting redesigned and who's got good wieners.)With the Orange Bowl deteriorating and lacking modern amenities such as luxury suites and video replays; the Miami Hurricanes will be moving to Dolphin Stadium starting in 2008. A proposed $206 million renovation plan put forth by the city of Miami was not enough to keep the University from leaving. The Canes will play out this season in the historic Orange Bowl."Is it appropriate for the University of Miami, a private university, to ask the people, the taxpayers of the city, to spend $200 million on six games a year?", university president Donna Shalala said. The Orange Bowl opened in 1937; hosted 5 Super Bowls and 12 college football games that decided national champions, including 3 won by the Canes. President John F. Kennedy gave a speech after the failed Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961 in which Kennedy promised a

      PHOTOGRAPHY PROJECT: Blown Away
It’s that time again! Time to participate in a super-fun project here at Epic Edits. The last project on reader websites went pretty good, so I can’t imagine that you guys would let me down now. This one’s going to take a little more effort on your part though. WHAT’S THIS ALL ABOUT? The topic is overexposure and the subject is a photo of yours. I want you to post a photo that exhibits overexposure, or blown-out highlights. If you need further definition or examples, visit my recent post titled “Should You Expose For Shadows Or Highlights?“. The image can be overexposed by the camera (which is really the intent of this project), or through post-processing. HOW DO I PARTICIPATE? This project is open to anybody. Your entry will be in the form of a photo and optional text items, but just one photo. If you have your own blog or website, use it to publish your entry. Post the photo and tell us about it — how you did it, why you did it, what

How to: Not get blown away, while driving your car with your window rolled down
It’s getting hot out there, and while driving your car, it might be even hotter! If you are driving a car without air condition, it might be hard to keep yourself cool, and what do you do? - You roll down your window, of course. I believe that everyone gets annoyed with the wind blowing up in their faces and into the ears, which almost makes you deaf. The only reason why you don’t roll up your window, is because of that chance you take - that you might drown in your own sweat, because its so damn hot! If you want to avoid this from happening, you could lean more into the middle of that car - but who wants to drive like that for 45 minutes? - NOT ME! I have been asking my friends and colleagues at work, and no one actually knew about this trick I am about to share with you. You can avoid being blown away wile driving in your car, with your window rolled down. All you have to do, is to roll down the window behind the drivers seat. By doing this, you make the air go in on yo

      A-Rod Eats Blown Coverage's Dust
The clock has struck 12, and my normally unremarkable, mild-mannered Blogger dashboard has begun to emit a pulsing glow of newfound power. That's right; I'm guest-blogging on Blown Coverage today. And it just so happens that I have the honor of contributing Blown Coverage's 500th post. A-Rod: still stuck on 499. We are setting the pace. For those of you who don't know me, (most of you, I'm afraid, since I haven't yet introduced myself) I am the one and only Class Act from Between the Lines. One of the perks of the guest-blogging biz is the shameless self-promotion, so while I have the pulpit I'll just let you all know that BTL features humorous and informative critiques of sports journalism and sports media commentary, mostly about baseball, and often from a sabermetric perspective. The downside of this approach is that we can't avoid having a symbiotic relationship with the writers and on-air "talents" we so despise; if they don't say anything dumb, we usually don't say anyth

      ‘Grand plan’ theory blown away
ORGANISERS said overnight that bad weather, rather than any grand planning on their part, has left Carnoustie in “great shape” for the 136th Open Championship which tees off tonight (AEST). Open Championship committee chairman Martin Kippax said that every player he had encountered had praised the Scottish links course’s condition, in sharp contrast to the brickbats it received when the event was last held there in 1999. But he denied there had been any concerted plan by the Royal and more…

Mild Panic or Full Blown Heart Attack?
As they big day draws ever closer, I’ve been finding it harder to relax. I’ve found this particularly strange because if you asked me I’d tell you I’m not at all stressed about becoming a Dad. Quite the opposite, I’m looking forward to it. But then again, I just can’t relax. It’s so bad, in fact, that I’ve started lying in bed, half asleep, and I get palpitations in my chest and a throbbing in my head. Then a big wave goes through my body and I wake up. I’ll lie there for a bit, then the same will happen again. Now, is that an impending heart attack? Or am I paranoid? Am I worried about the baby? Can my body not slowly unwind and needs to do it in a big bang? Obviously as I’m a man, I won’t go to the doctor about this; I’ll either die or get over it. In the mean time, I’ll probably just worry about it a little. This, I believe, is the start of the downward spiral where I worry about being worried which worrie

      Blown Away
Even though we live in a tropical climate (read: 90+ degrees Fahrenheit with 98% humidity every day), we have barely used the aircon in our mid-level apartment over the last two years. We have enough windows and doors throughout the apartment to let the air flow freely with just the use of our ceiling fan. Plus, we have the added advantage of having screens on every window and door - including our second balcony, which is all screened in - so there’s no danger of the dreaded Dengue mosquito pestering us. Most of the time, I just prefer fresh air anyway. I hate that feeling of being all sealed in. The first thing I do every morning is open all the windows and doors “to get some air moving” (yet another trait I get from my mother). But, lately it has seemed so hot (though I doubt the temperature has changed very much at all), that we are turning on the aircon almost every day. I’m not sure I like it… What about you? Are you all about the fresh air, or th

For those of you who didn't watch the show, guess who won the rose.Tessa got the rose and a ring. You know, shirts, sweaters, caps, mousepads etc etc. So yeah, it's not enough that I force you to read below average writing, but now I'm going to shove you with awkward merch as well.I'm hoping to have it all up in the next two weeks, but I have the work ethic of a passed out snail so it might take a bit longer. Either way, get ready for your Blown Coverage "apparel" and chances are that they will feature simplistic animation like in the picture above.Yes, I really want to make shirt with the word "Lolz" on it....

Yankees blown 7-3 lead and lose to the Reds 8-7.
At her blog for the Newsday, Kat O’Brien says there’s strange things happenings in Sarasota, Florida. She reported that there’s a swarm of maybe 100 bees swirled across the field, causing them to leave the field momentarily in the sixth inning vs Reds. Jorge Posada was the first to see them, as they moved from first base to shortstop and out to left field. He warned his teammates off, though some were quicker than others to catch on .When one person asked Derek Jeter where he saw them, he said, "Right by my head."                                         He didn’t seem too non-plussed about it, though some said they were a little freaked out.
