Yeah, that's correct, I have taken the plunge. I decided to see if this network cord and power cord would reach to my bed. It just reaches. I know there are folks out there who have been through a lot worse than I, and we are certainly grateful that all those falling trees managed to miss our house. I’m really disappointed. I had some things stolen out of my Land Cruiser last night while it was parked in front of the gym. The UFC had just given me a brand new workout bag full of shirts and beanies, with a personalized engraved name tag. They took that. What I’m most upset about though, is that they took all of my mma trading cards that I sign for the fans and the kids. Come on now, that’s really uncool. I'm feeling very overwhelmed right now. My new boss just called to find out when I'm coming back to work. I was stoned, so I told him the truth. I hope I didn't sound too much like a bitch. I just told him like it is. I'm still not ready yet. They overwhelmed me. If that is what they wanted to accomplish, they succeeded, but I'm not going to go without a fight. I regret my decision to not file a lawsuit against them. I feel like they were punishing/retaliating against me for filing the complaint with the EEOC. Our Heartless Bastards are all growns up now aren’t they? While this is certainly not the first time Cincinnati’s own Heartless Bastards have been the opener choice of a nationally renowned act (see Lucinda Williams tour earlier this year) this one gets me especially excited since I am a big fan of HB, and of course Wilco.
It is indeed true, one of our favorite Cincinnati acts will be opening for Wilco tonight and tomorrow night in Pittsburgh and Charlottesville respectively.

BUT, Meteor didn’t follow correct procedure in signing her up! The ported her O2 number over, to Meteor, then told her they’d sent her on a Sim Pack and a new mobile phone - which she has yet to recieve despite being billed every recurring month!

I was called to the office and she told me I was entitled to no leave since I tendered within three months. All along I thought it did not matter since I would be working for more than three months in total and I gave the letter just a week to my three long months of work.Therefore, I have to pay them back for the annual and medical leaves taken. Some people suggest that I can choose to stay on for a few more days to cover up for the leaves taken but I just want to leave the hellish place where the management is heartless.What is worst is that I cannot take a few days’ leaves to rest at home and buck up on my websites.

What in the hell! “RIAA to feds: Make XM-Sirius pay more, restrict listeners’ recording.” First off let me say I am a XM Radio subscriber and love it, I have owned one for like 5 years now. I bought the new Pioneer Inno when it came out which allows you to record up to 50 hrs of XM programing to your Inno. It will not let you transfer the songs off of the Inno for other devices so it is totally restricted to only listening to the recorded content form the Inno device.
“Under copyright law, separate licenses exist for the “performance” of a song and for the recording or “distribution” of it. Satellite and Internet radio broadcasters (unlike traditional radio) are already required to pay performance-based royalties.”
This is just crazy. I mean they are already charging them more than regular radio and now want to charge more and restrict your recording. The RIAA is a money hungry company that is destroying music in general

Cincinnati’s Heartless Bastards are really on the move. The band recently got off of a month long tour opening for the legendary Lucinda Williams. Now they are on the road with The Hold Steady and have summer plans that include Lollapalooza in August. All tour dates below. And now a sleek and really gorgeous new video for their great song, “All This Time.” The video was done by the good folks at Light Borne, who have already done music videos for the likes of Death Cab for Cutie, The Raconteurs and The Greenhornes.

It’s true kids, even Cincinnati has a “secret show” every now and then. Our man Dave happened upon an impromptu and not advertised show last night from Heartless Bastards here in town, and has a bit to say about it.

Most fortunately for me, I decided to go out last evening. I was casually enjoying a refreshing beer outside the Northside Tavern when my roommate pointed out to me, “Hey Dave, look who that is.” Having seen the Heartless Bastards enough times to cover both of my hands, I knew that it was Kevin Vaughan, the drummer from the band, and he was conveniently unloading a drum kit. After asking around, I found out that much to my delight, the Bastards would be playing a secret show that very evening.
