The government is working to ban all foreign homosexuals from being able to obtain residence. The government is also conducting a study to see how widespread homosexuality is in the country and what can be done to counter it. The government also advises teachers to look out for signs of homosexuality amongst students and to take appropriate disciplinary action.

Am back in Bahrain after a year away and it feels good to be here. Traveling and the excessive work before that is what took me off the radar and am sure me being here took Moe off too. I honestly never appreciate how easy life can be until I actually set foot in the island. This is definitely due to the fact that working life in London isn’t the easiest thing in the world, although it is rewarding. An added bonus is it being Ramadan, something I didn’t experience fully for many years.
On the outside, the place did change significantly and overall infrastructure is in some areas much better, which is always a positive sign. I do stick to my belief that if all goes to plan, Bahrain should change 360 over the next ten years. I like to keep my optimistic hat on. As for the other side, it’s not to be discussed here. I do worry though about the traffic, boy is it getting worse. Having said that, I’d take it any day over the tube, especially in mid summer when there are severe delay
Finally I get some time to write. I won’t bore you with the details but I can say it was an exam that kept me away. Anyways, I’ve been wanting to write about this for the past week and a half.
I was sitting working and fully focused for a few hours when I received an email from my cousin which said, “below is a very opinionated article which could destroy the image of the Banyan Tree and/or Bahrain. I thought well, this must be great, should be a good mini break from work and am always up for reading something new, interesting and definately different. Now before you read on, I’d just want to state that am very open minded and that I especially love critical stuff, that is if you know what you’re talking about and can present a valid arguement. When a country does something better than my country, something dies inside me ! It’s embarrassing. Well, not that my country is a world beater but HEY ! I can dream, can’t I ? Anyway the indignity reached its peak with the latest report on life expectancy. Bahrain is ranked 85th (73 years). Who is at the top, you might ask? The US ? Japan? No. Switzerland? No.
You see there is this tiny country called Andorra, located in the Pyrenees mountains between France and Spain. They win the life expectancy competition at 83.5 years.
So what’s their secret? So I ran my faithful source of information (Wikipedia) to learn all about their lifestyle and culture. I figured that it would be clever to take note of things they do for tips on lengthening my life !

Bahrain; A few miles off the coast of Saudi Arabia, in all the rich & vast beauty of the pristine blue waters of the Persian Gulf; Bahrain, simply hearing her name brings joy to my heart. I was born and raised in Al Bahrain; The land of the beautiful, the land of pearls.
I was raised a Roman Catholic by religious parents, but I loved Islam more than my religion. But it never even occurred to me that I will end up in neither of them. Life took me to a state of skepticism, of reason & of science; it took me, to Atheism.
