The book will hopefully bring the current public narrative, which is hazy in the second-by-second meter, down to a sharper focus. It hopes to reveal the nitty-gritty details, such as exactly which brand of boxer briefs Pete Doherty wears, and what kind of organic 2% milk he pours on his Frosted Flakes

McConnell continued, “The polls are predicting the BNP to win two seats this year, which would be disastrous. As I understand it each elected member is given an office, £400,000 a year funding and, most terrifyingly in the case of the BNP, legitimacy and a platform from which to spout their vile hatred right into the heart of our nation's capital”

A new song by Babyshambles has been posted online. The song is titled "Pretty Sue" and you can listen to it here.
Drummer Adam Ficek revealed in a mySpace bulletin that the band plan to post two further new songs online within the next few weeks, "1939" and "Mouse In The House".
He also hinted that Babyshambles would be playing some low-key Christmas shows, which one can only assume will mean a return of their impromptu pub gigs.

... Kate Moss didnt make the cut!Kate was supposed to appear on the cover of Shotter's Nation, but Pete's label replaced her. I bet she didn't see this coming!Shotter's Nation out on Monday, go buy it if you like!
A broad range of influences shine through on this album, from the Kinks, through to punk, Stone Roses, 80s' indie and Britpop. Lyrically, the album captures the many facets of Peter's character: storyteller, lyricist, street poet, hopeless romantic and chronicler of British life. From capturing the feeling at sunrise after a night on the tiles, to delving into a self-destructive 20 year marriage this is an album of rare emotional breadth.Website
Babyshambles are said to be recording extra songs just in case singer Pete Doherty gets sent to jail for a string of drugs possession offences.Drummer of the band Adam Ficek said that they were getting work on their upcoming album out the way as well as putting other tracks on tape.Adam said that “We obviously hope Peter won’t be sent down but we can’t take any chances, we have a lot of extra tracks to do, and the sensible thing is to record them now when we can definitely be together.”Pete has been told he may avoid a jail term if he can kick his drugs habit. Adam said that “It’d be naive of me to say he’ll never take drugs again. But, honestly, I’ve never known him want to give up more.
Another Pete Production. Enjoy it while you can, Pete ;)In May 2007, NME magazine placed "Fuck Forever" at number 24 in its list of the 50 Greatest Indie Anthems Ever.Should have been top 10 :)2005 Fuck ForeverReally really love this song.More info (wiki)Official site
The band -- minus singer Pete Doherty -- were interviewed by XFM radio, where they revealed they're working on some interesting collaborations for their next album - due late autumn - including songs with Amy Winehouse and Shaun Ryder.
Released as a fundraiser for the Strummerville charity, this faithful "all-star" cover of The Clash classic rattles along at an endearingly energetic pace, and sounds like the one thing Babyshambles aren't notorious for: good, clean fun.Alongside the 'Shambles themselves, The Kooks. Guillemots, Mystery Jets, We Are Scientists, The Holloways, Dirty Pretty Things, Larrikin Love and Jamie T lend a hand, which mostly seems to consist of jigging about in the studio and bawling backing vocals every so often. Pete Doherty turns in an accent-perfect Strummer impression (no surprise, as Babyshambles famously psyche themselves up for shows by singing "Janie Jones"), and the whole incident passes without embarrassment. A fun single for a worthy cause.Janie Jones (Strummerville)You can hear Pete's solo vocal version as the extra track on the CD which you can buy here. MORE BABYSHAMBLES
