I just noticed that the MyBlogLog comment avatars weren't working in this blog. It seems that Merlinox (the blogger who invented this hack) has either removed or relocated the script we were using to make the avatars appear in our Blogger blogs. Today is the kick-off day for the 2007 BlogHer Conference which I will be attending via my avatar in Second Life. There will be various artists performing for this kick-off at Hyperstring.net Island including Dalien Tabbot, Grace McDunnough and Montian Gilruth, all of whom I've never heard of before, but then again I'm a total newbie in Second Life. El NYTimes ha realizado un curiosísimo artículo en el que va mostrando avatars famosos junto con sus creadores. La mayoría son de Second Life y City of Heroes. La verdad es que es muy curioso ver cómo es la persona en realidad y su alter ego virtual.
Otro detalle es que junto a cada foto añaden una entradilla con el nombre de la persona, el del avatar, el juego en que lo utiliza, de donde es, las horas que pasa jugando…
Por ejemplo este chico de 33 años pasa unas 80 horas a la semana jugando al Star Wars Galaxies y el avatar que ha diseñado tiene una máscara muy similar a la que tiene que usar en la realidad.

I am not 100% sold on it, but I have noticed that more and more of my readers are coming here through Mybloglog.
