All of you already know that I had been to Austin two weeks ago. I had forgotten to post some other pictures I shot at Austin. I continue to be amazed by the enormous size of state buildings and their grandeur. One such place I went to during the latest visit to Austin is the Texas State History Museum which tells the story of Texas in great detail. Sited right behind the Capitol building, the museum is a large four-storeyed greyish-maroon building. One of the imposing features is the presence of a large metal forged star in front of the building. For those of you, like me, who have no life and gotta live through others. We thankfully have people like Beronica to keep us informed on the Austin Hip-Hop Scene, live and direct and from the streets...4/20 was pretty dope for those of us that attended this years festivities @ The Reggae Fest. Whether you attended Saturday or Sunday, I'm sure you enjoyed yourself despite the price increase at the door. There was a good turnout of patrons even without our four legged friends that were not invited to attend this year. It was definitely crowded, so not for the paranoid or claustrophobic type. The main stage kept the crowd entertained during breaks with a DJ, but for me, the main attraction was a guy on the mic at the west end of the festival. Vendors were in full bloom, my favorite item
We are back from Belize and it was an amazing week of jungle tours, horseback riding, tubing, canoing thru caves, hiking on ruins, snorkeling, sailing, sunning (too much in some places for Scottish Sarah), fabulous food, strange critters and beautiful sights - see for yourself:
We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it if you are thinking of going. We also had an underwater camera so I will add those in when we get the pictures back, hopefully they turned out for the fishes and sharks and rays and turtle...
