With all this Oscar hype almost over, I'd like to confess what was my pick for Best Costume Designer; Colleen Atwood, for her work on Sweeney Todd. The Oscar went to Alexandra Byrne of Elizabeth: The Golden Age, which might have been more deserving, yes, but not as enjoyable for me as to watch musical bloodshed in 19th century English bespoke.
