Gender and the Attributes of God
(This is part of my December Experiment series) After a week and a half, one of the realities that has set in is that I simply don’t refer to God often enough to even warrant frequent use of pronouns. One area that most church going folks do reference God is in our singing. So, on our drive home after Thanksgiving, Mindy and I sang a few songs, racking our brains for ones that use pronouns.

Using Attributes to Exclude Code from Coverage in TestDriven.Net
There are times when you don't want your coverage level penalized for code not covered. Often this occurs with code that is produced from a code generator. Since TestDriven.Net invokes NCover with the //ea CoverageExcludeAttribute switch, it's relatively easy remove code from the coverage statistics. First, define the CoverageExclude attribute. Make sure to declare it outside of any namespace scope (I made this mistake and struggled for 10 minutes to figure out why it didn't work). It's best to define the attribute in your non-test code to reduce couplings between assemblies. The attribute requires no methods beyond the default constructor. public class CoverageExcludeAttribute : System.Attribute { } Then decorate the modules, classes, methods and propertes you want to exclude.

SEO Tip Number 6: Blog Pages’ Crawling/Ranking Attributes
Your blog’s page ranking can also be affected by factors that prevent search engine crawlers from indexing your blog pages properly. Factors such as the amount of indexable text, coding, server accessibility, and content duplications; all have the capacity to pull your page rank down if you’re not careful and mindful about it.Indexable ContentAccording to most SEO experts, pages that are “all” images, flash, frames, or java scripts rarely rank well. It is because search engines will find it hard to textually index a particular page if it contains no HTML text to associate the page with. (This is where the “image filename”, “alt”, and “title” attributes of images, --if it’s image-based not flash or java--, comes in handy.) If you have a blog post that happens to fall i

The Education Competency Wheel, key attributes to becoming a successful educator!
Wow! Microsoft has outlined six success factors for educators and divided them up into thirty seven key attributes as part of their Education Competency Wheel. The really neat thing is that you don't have to actually know anything. Being competent does not even come into play!In my quest for precision of language, I looked up the word "competency" and found that it was not included in Webster's 1812 Dictionary of American English. The best, and most applicable definition for competency I could find was this from the Australian National Training Board:A competency comprises the specification of the knowledge and skill and the application of that knowledge and skill across industries or within an industry, to the standard of performance required in employment. That is not so bad, except that Microsoft seems to have left off the first half. To be successful in education, you need only know how to manage information and people, not actually have any real expertise in your subject area

      Attributes of Successful Ministry Formula
(updated: 6/19 - 7:59 am EST) (updated: 6/19 - 8:04 am EST) To fully understand where I’m (we’re…  I’m adding points suggested by others too) coming from, you should read the 3 previous posts. “Is This Stuff Real?”  “Why Is This Stuff Real?” and “Formula Shmormula“  If you don’t read those, this will still make sense, but the logic pyramid has been building over the past few days off of the launching post of “Is This Stuff Real?” I think the key to ministry success is to not think about it. If we start asking about ministry success, we will inevitably want to define that ministry success and run the dire and almost certain risk of creating false and possibly inappropriate expectations. Are you successful because your church breaks the 300 mark? Are you successful because you have additional pastors on staff? Are you successful because you have held large scale evangelical outreaches? I hope not.

The value should be enclosed in single or double quotes, although values consisting of certain characters can be left unquoted in HTML (but not XHTML). Leaving attribute values unquoted is considered unsafe. Most elements take any of several common attributes: id, class, style and title. Most also take language-related attributes: lang and dir.The id attribute provides a document-wide unique identifier for an element. This can be used by stylesheets to provide presentational properties, by browsers to focus attention on the specific element or by scripts to alter the contents or presentation of an element. The class attribute provides a way of classifying similar elements for presentation purposes. For example, an HTML (or a set of documents) document may use the designation to indicate that all elements with this class value are all subordina

Marine Commander Attributes Fallujah Success to Troop Surge
Higher troops levels are a major contributor to the success of operations in Iraq, especially in cities like Fallujah, a U.S. commander of troops in the western city said during a news conference today. Building on the successes of the combat teams before his, Marine Col. Richard Simcock, commander of Regimental Combat Team 6, said the biggest advantage he has over his predecessors is the number of troops available to secure and stabilize the city. "We can do more because we have more," Simcock said. "Troop levels have allowed us to go places our predecessors couldn't." He told reporters that his 6,000 troops have been able to break the "whack-a-mole" cycle of securing an area and then moving on only to have the enemy to come back in afterward. "We can go into a particular area with a large force, establish security and set conditions for Iraqi security forces to come in behind us to transition into securing the area," Simcock said. He said his troops, with coalition and Iraqi forces,

8 Attributes of Men That Asian Women Find Sexy
      1. Well-built BodyIn the previous articles, I made mention that Asian women have varying preference over men’s body built. Nonetheless, a man with well-defined body turns on majority of Asian women. Hmm… I just love to be around the arms of a man with nice biceps and triceps. Since I avoid fatty foods and exercise regularly to make myself attractive, fit and sexy, I expect that my man will do the same.2. Hairy ChestI am not so sure about hairy chest but I’ve tried asking 10 Asian women and 6 turned out to have liked men with hairy chest and 2 find it disgusting while the remaining 2 don’t really give a damn about it.For me, a man looks hot when he’s got hairs on his chest. In this case you can include men with hairs on their legs and thighs and some hairs on their forearms. Men w
