We had a great weekend. Saturday we went to see Mom and Don in Salem. It was a really nice day. Watched some football, worked on their computer, had some great conversation, and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Thanks guys! Sunday we went grocery shopping and while we were out we picked up a couple of things for Weston. One, the new collar he’s sporting in this photo, and also some new toys. One of those was this moving Halloween decoration. It’s not meant to be a dog toy, but he sure had some fun with it.

John Edwards took his act to Hanover, New Hampshire with a speech which wound up creating a controversy among Democrats. Edwards made what is being seen as an attack on the Clintons when he said, “The American people deserve to know that their presidency is not for sale, the Lincoln Bedroom is not for rent, and lobbyist money can no longer influence policy in the House or the Senate.”
As both Jeralyn at Talk Left and Taylor Marsh have noted, using the Lincoln Bedroom has long been a conservative talking point for attacking the Clintons. GERMANY - A mad squirrel went on a rampage and attacked and injured three people before a 72-year-old granny smacked it into submission with her cane.The squirrel first entered a home in Passau, a small town in southern Germany and jumped up on an unsuspecting 70-year-old woman and sank it's teeth into her hand, a local police spokesperson said. The terrorized elderly woman ran into the street with the squirrel still attached to her hand, a local police spokesman said Thursday.After that the squirrel apparently ran into a building site and attacked a construction worker who was bitten in the hand and arm. The worker managed to fight off the mad squirrel with a measuring pole. Police say the squirrel then entered "the 72-year-old man's garden and massively attacked him on the arms, hand and thigh," the spokesman said. "Then he killed it with his [cane]."Experts theorize the squirrel was ill (do you think?) or that his aggressive behavior was due to the mating season.

The ship was in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea to see if Russians or Egyptians were piloting six Cairo based Soviet bombers flying missions against Israel. Israel attacked with Mirage & Mystere aircraft as well as torpedo boats. The Liberty suffered 821 shell holes, killing 34 and wounding 172 out of the 294 complement of crew. The crew fought back valiantly during that hour so so battle and they should be remembered for that. All told there was one
