Okay! Here’s the Port-a-Bach, from Atelier Workshop in New Zealand! It reminds me of BARK’s All-Terrain Cabin, in that it is created from a 20ft. shipping container. The Port-a-Bach portable cabin sleeps two adults and two children, is power, water and sewer independent, has one wall that folds down to create an open living space and folds back up to secure the unit for storage or relocation. 2007 has seen a fair amount of action at one of the luxury anchor properties in the South End, Atelier 505. 11 units sold in the building, 2 are currently for sale, and 1 is under agreement - a steady 15% turnover rate in the 103-unit building. Price per square foot (of the sold properties) in the building ranged from $690 to $982, quite a large range, accounted namely by inclusion of parking and outdoor space in some units versus others. Passions créatives spécial blogueuses, c'était vendredi... une journée bien remplie qui a permis aux "Merveilles " bordelaises de se retrouver en animant à tour de rôle des ateliers culinaires à thèmes diversifiés. Anne (P&P) a ouvert le bal :Non, non, ne vous fiez pas aux apparences, elle n'a pas fait que discuter. Elle a régalé son auditoire avec ses tartinades à l'avocat, thon, tomates... des amuse bouche faciles à réaliser et toujours appréciées à l'heure de l'apéro. J'ai pris ensuite la relève... avec des variations sur le foie gras: au programme ma recette de verrine foie gras mangue, celle de velouté de châtaignes aux copeaux de foie gras et enfin, une petite mousse au foie gras sur salpicon de fruits secs. Exposition rigolote, mais qui ne va pas très loin ; elle n’y prétend au demeurant pas, et c’est ce qui la rend agréable. En parallèle, des ateliers, destinés tantôt aux enfants, tantôt aux familles et qui permettent, sous l’inspiration d’une animatrice, de se frotter au problème lui-même : comment construire une tour ? comment lui faire faire un clin d’oeil (l’équivalent d’un clin d’oeil…) ? Comment la dessiner ? Comment la colorier ? Deux heures passées à bricoler des formes et à se salir les mains avec des craies de couleur, comme on ne l’a plus fait depuis qu’on était petit.
