      For Current and Aspiring Vermicomposters
Weird trivia that might make worm composting sexier:In those days [1777], most gardeners viewed worms as pests, but their importance had been noticed long before. Cleopatra saw them as sacred because they were important to the fertility of the mud laid down by the Nile, and established a cadre of priests entirely devoted to their wellbeing.I've been vermicomposting for a year and a half now, off and on (sometimes the bin gets too full, or I need to change over to a new bin and keep procrastinating on doing it). I just gave away a bunch of compost and hope to try some out on my new place's garden this year. Some people have fish tanks. I prefer my worm bin. Not as pretty, but definitely more practical (and cheaper).

Mom Was An Aspiring Actress; Still No Motive For The Slayings
Now, I heard on the radio over the weekend (yesterday, actually) that Juve will be at Atlanta's Figure 8 Nightclub along with NFL player Adam "Pacman" Jones THIS TUESDAY!!!!!! Personally, I hope he cancels this appearance. If he is "shocked and devastated", as his statement claims, I don't feel like he needs to be hosting a party at a club less than a week after his child was slain by her own brother. That is just my personal feeling. To each his own. We all have our own ways of coping with death and maybe this may be his way of coping but i'm just saying.......... Read on from the AJC and learn more about this whole terrible, senseless crime: Joy Deleston was a no-nonsense Gwinnett deputy who moonlighted as an actress and parented three children, all with a smile on her face. For the aspiring Little Laureate in your life
By Angela, Contributing Writer (prize section updated) Ever heard of “Symphonic Art Animation?” I hadn’t either until I was sent these amazing DVDs. The Little Laureate’s developmental series for children ages 1 to 4 (My World Gallery, My World Colors and My World Adventure) literally blew me and my kids away. Because these? Are nothing like your “typical” baby/toddler DVDs. No mind numbing sock puppets here! In these DVDs, the main character, Star (and her sister Starlette), lead your child (and you - these DVDs are designed for a shared experience with you and your child) on a journey through famous works of art, culture, and classical music. It’s hard to articulate just what a visually stunning journey this is. Famous pieces of art are “constructed” on the screen, one piece at a time, in tempo with the music (some of my favorite pieces of classical music), teaching colors, art appreciation and even foreign language as you go.

New Golden Rule For The Aspiring Pick Up Artist - Violate It At Your Own Risk
Since the introduction of the reality show The Pick up Artist, it seems that more men are dedicating themselves to becoming Pick Up Artist than ever before. This particular reality show has thrust the PUA community into the forefront of pop culture and dictated a New Golden Rule for Aspiring Pick Up Artist. Ignoring this rule can put an end to any routine from the start.Just a few years ago, the Pick Up community truly was a secret society. Then, VH1 turned things into a reality show. Many newbies became so excited to try what they had seen on television that they didn't obey the New Golden Rule for Aspiring Pick Up Artist: Be original. This sounds like a no brainer, but it is amazing how many stories I hear of newbies getting busted when trying to use openers they have heard on television. The problem is that women watch the show too.The good news is that women have mostly watched the show for entertainment, just like they would any other reality show. Women are not engaged in trying

My Friend and Aspiring Model Latoya
She is beautiful, she is smart and she held me at nipple point (not that I mind) and asked me to do whatever I need to help promote her career. She is my co-worker and very good friend who passes by my cubicle every now and again to help keep me from dying of boredom. The occasional lunch break with her is always fun although she always cussing me out for not seeing her more often. Due to contractual fine print on her part and with multiple offers from agencies coming in I can’t say yet who she is signed to (yet) but I see her going places in the future so keep your eye out for this beautiful face. A little eye candy every now and again on my site wouldn’t hurt and all, besides I do like robots but I don’t think they are sexy. I think she is though!

Jessica Tudor, from Tudor's Desk, made a very insightful comment today on her blog about changing her blog tagline from "aspiring novelist" to "unpublished novelist". I love her logic. I also happen to agree with it. If you already are able to plan, write, and edit novels, you're really not aspiring to do anything. I, too, am an unpublished novelist.

Great comment about 'Aspiring Music Performance Majors' post from Brandon Mitchell
Double bassist Brandon Mitchell just left a great comment about my Advice for Aspiring Music Performance Majors post:This a really amazing article. It definitely scared the crap out of me, though! You know what they say (paraphrased) "the best music teachers are the ones who try to convince you to get out of the business." I actually read this article a while ago on Jason's Facebook blog, which didn't include the major audition winners list. After I saw that list, I immediately decided to give up classical bass and I clicked on the link for the Starbucks application. The fact that the application was real gave me a good laugh. Still, after that laugh, I realized that our parents are right in thinking that we're crazy for chasing this dream. I know that sounds dark, but think about this logically for a moment. With as many career choices as there are out there, who in their right mind would focus all their time and energy on the one with less than 50 FULL TIME job openings a

Aspiring doctors defiantly choosing to enter abortion field
From the LA Times comes a story about aspiring doctors who are choosing to provide abortions. This is such good news as decades of terror and intimidation by pro-forced maternity activists (H/T Exterminator) has taken it toll on many doctors with the number of abortion providers dropping by 37% between 1982 and 2000. Listening to news of the Supreme Court’s ruling, third-year medical student Lysie Cirona, 24, found herself shouting at her radio in frustration. Then she took a hard look at her career plans. She had always been interested in psychiatry, but now she envisioned herself flying to North Dakota or Nebraska a few times a month to perform abortions. “It wasn’t on my radar screen” a year ago, Cirona said, but her priorities have changed as she’s learned more about the history and current state of abortion rights. Cirona has taken to badgering her professors to include information about abortion in their lectures. She attended workshops on how to r

      Tampa's aspiring journalists
Looks like if you want to become a reporter - the Gradebook says that's a good thing, but you can judge for yourself - Hillsborough County high schools offer a great place to start. Just ask the Florida Scholastic Press Association. The organization named Wharton High senior Karl Golombisky, editor of the school's Predator newspaper, as the state's top high school journalist for 2006-07. The judges noted his strong body of work across many beats, including sports and features. But don't look back when seeking that job, Karl, because Chamberlain High's Daylina Miller, editor in chief of the school's Chieftain newspaper, was the strong runner-up. And no, you can't have our jobs yet.
