How do dyslexic East Asians read?
While dyslexic people on most parts of the globe are lucky enough to have only 26 characters on their Latin alphabet, I always wonder how do dyslexic people in East Asia manage to grapple thru reading in their daily lives.A confusion amongst 26 Latin characters would be a much simpler difficulty than one amongst 2600 Chinese characters!Dyslexic Koreans and Greeks are luckier though, because they o

Big Brother Australia: Housemate Ben will Turn Gay for Travolta; Dislikes Asians
The website GenerationQ.net has uncovered some internet postings from the psuedo lawyer, Ben. In the postings he talks about what kind of women he likes, music, and who would turn him gay. Apparently, John Travolta from the Grease period is enough for Ben to vertical tango with other men.  One of the most shocking statements [...]

Are Asians Prone To Having Payday Loans?
If you have been able to live in asia for quite sometime now, i think it wouldnt be very hard to imagine why alot of asians are in the very position to have a payday loan or credit. This usually happens after there is a celebration or something that has to have a grand offering to gods or maybe fiest of saints which usually happens in southeast asia like thailand and the philippines. This gives me another dilemma that I think would be very good to be posted here on this blog. Are asians really prone to having paypay loans?Well, i think the answer to this question is really self explanatory and a rather an obvious one to all asians. Yes! They are really prone to having loans because in my opinion, asians are inevitably grand in preparing something. Think about the japanese on how they prepare for their holidays, the malaysians on how they celebrated independence and the philippines on how they celebrate fiest of their saints.Payday loan consolidation might just be the one problem solver

Are Asians Prone To Having Payday Loans?
Im a hard working college student with a very supportive parents who are always there for me. Well, lucky for me that this is my status of college lifestlyle, but what about those who are less fortunate ones who has to work for the tuition payments thay have to pay each semester? This is pretty much the thing that bugged me for sometime now. I have friends that dont even consider student loan consolidation even the need is worst than a terminal cancer case. Well, thats a bit exaggerated but you get my point. This is pretty much what I wanted to discuss here because the enrollment has just been over and I still see un-enrolled students or even friends because of financial constraints. I mean why not give credit to having loans? Sure, its pretty risky but i guess its not very hard to imagine if its just for education.Student loan consolidation might just be the one problem solver for these people. The question that i raised today would be decided upon by the individual themselves. Private

Why Do Asians Get Bad Credits?
Is it because of geographic location? or cultural effect perhaps? Or maybe because asians are newbies when it comes to credit management? This is my topic for today's post. Its not very uncommon to see a business close down because of bad credit here in asia or most specifically, in the philippines. Bad credit as we know it is not something that comes overnight, it is the repeated unnecessary buying and spending which is out of the capacity of the payee. From this definition alone, we can say that in every action or transaction that we make, we must be mindful enough of its consequences in the future. For everyone who are in this situation, my suggestion for you guys is to wisely choose your credit offers while taking into consideration your spending power and preferences. It is only through this way that you will be able to earn some money. Take my word for it!

Which Is Best For Asians, A Credit Or Debit Card?
Three months ago, I was very anxious to earn money online. I came up with this blog, applied to almost every earning program available and just persevered. Now that I am starting to make real money from blogging, I am faced with a dilemma on how to be paid, when to get paid and how to do balance transfers. Well, im trying to figure things out again as I did when I started blogging and interest free credit cards would really help alot. This raises a question on my mind though, which is better for asians, debit or credit cards ?Personally, I have to go for mint credit cards than debit cards. Why? Primarily because of the benefits that you can have while using one. Money-less transaction has become a necessity with today's fast forwarding society and a credit card would be the best tool for an asian who is fast becoming a globally competitive race.

Asians In Texas May Be Seven Times More Likely to Develop Cancer
Asian-Americans may be seven times as likely to be diagnosed with certain cancers, according to the American Cancer Society and Melissa McCracken, first author of a study focusing on cancer rates in the U.S.'s Asian population, released earlier this week in CA, a Cancer Journal for Clinicians. While Asian-Americans have a lower overall incidence rate of cancer than other ethnic populations in the U.S., the disease is still a main cause of death for the group and accounts for more fatalities than heart disease. Stomach and liver cancers, for instance, are much more likely to occur in the United States' Asian population. It's a serious public health issue for the country, with so many immigrants arriving every year, many of whom lack health insurance and the communication skills to effectively seek treatment, and some of whom carry bacteria and viruses -- which can cause cancers -- uncommon in the U.S. While still a small minority in Texas, at just under 4%, or approximately 850,000, th

Nearly half British Asians reject mixed race marriage
Nearly half of British Asians would only marry someone of their own race, according to a survey published Monday.A total of 44 percent said they would not consider inter-racial marriage -- almost five times higher than the figure for white Britons, of whom nine percent said they would only marry within their race. But 53 percent of Britons with Asian origins said they would not mind a mixed race marriage, compared to 87 percent for whites. The survey, conducted by pollsters ICM for the BBC Asian Network, probed 500 people aged under 34 living in Britain but who had roots in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh or Sri Lanka. ICM also questioned 235 white people aged under 34.It found that attitudes to dating were more liberal -- 53 percent of those with Asian roots said they would consider dating someone who was white and 44 percent a black person. And they were more likely to have friends from different racial groups than whites -- 31 percent said all or most of their closest friends were from the

"Sweet-Meat" Diet Increases Breast Cancer Risk in Postmenopausal Asians
Eating a “sweet-meat” diet full of red meat, starches and sweets has been found to increase the risk of breast cancer in postmenopausal Chinese women -- particularly those who were overweight.Among overweight women who ate a highly “meat-sweet” diet, breast cancer risk increased more than two-fold compared to women who ate a “vegetable-soy” diet of vegetables, fish and soy-based products. The researchers posit that limiting intake of a “Western dietary pattern” while controlling weight is a good way to protect against breast cancer. While I agree that limiting your intake of sweets and most starches is essential to good health, their recommendations to avoid red meat and include soy-based food fall short.Red meat can be an incredibly healthy part of your diet, as long as you eat the right varieties for your nutritional type and only eat meat that has come from healthy, preferably grass-fed, organic, animals -- NOT those that are conventionally factory-farmed. Meanwhile,

"Asians" drive burning car into airport terminal at Glasgow airport
About a day after the bomb scare over in London, another terrorist attack takes place at the Glasgow airport. Sky News (via Hot Air) has this to say about who the culprits are:It comes just a day after two car bombs were found in London. And it is in the same week that Gordon Brown became Britain's new Prime Minister, and is exactly seven days before the second anniversary of the 7/7 attacks in London. The Jeep was being driven at around 30mph when it smashed into a glass door at Terminal One of Glasgow airport.Hundreds of shocked holidaymakers were in the area at the time, and witnesses said some of them removed gas cylinders from the jeep. There are reports the occupants - described as Asian males - were trying to pour petrol on the flames. In North America, when we say Asian, it often means people of Chinese, Japanese and Korean descent. But in Britain, it often means people of Pakistani and Afghanistani descent. There's your answer, but most importantly of all, a clue to that this i

Why So Many Asians Date Other Asians
by Terry Dip If you walk around LA, you’ll see lots of Asian couples. Look closer and if you can tell the difference, you’ll see that these couples are of not only the Asian race but the same Asian ethnicity. For a city known worldwide for its cultural diversity, LA has many monoethnic Asian couples. Nothing wrong with that, but there are specific reasons for it. Even today, it is true to a certain degree that the Asian communities of LA are segregated. Being Asian, I know Asians prefer to live with their own ethnicity. In LA, there exist a Chinatown, a Koreatown, a Little Tokyo, a Filipino Town, a Thai Town, and a myriad of others. Beyond this, certain districts are implicitly known as the territories of specific ethnic groups. Carson has an incredibly high Filipino population, and Monterey Park is primarily Chinese. Commonalities in language, culture, history, and food are the main reasons Thais stay in Thai Town, Koreans stay in Koreatown, and so on. The desire to work

      Disgusting Asians
So far, I have written several articles that have promoted Asian women, culture and society. Most of them are positive comments and appreciations, but today, I have decided to write something different. Something, which I believe will raise the eyebrows of some Asian women. I guess I'm lucky to have been born in a free country where freedom of expression is protected and guaranteed. And regardless whether this may come offensive to some Asian women, it doesn't really matter, what matter is I send my message across to my readers.Hygiene Problems Among Asian SocietyHygiene is one of the most common problems that westerners find among Asians women and men alike. A large number of Asian women I came across with in my travel around Asia have serious hygiene issues. Today, I have decided to write about it in hopes of explaining the causes or reasons behind these problems and encourage my fellow Asian women to value hygiene.Body OdourYou must have experienced being inside an elevator with C

UK: 14 y-o Schoolgirl Arrested For Refusing To Study With Non-English Speaking Asians
Britain's big big problem.Daily Mail: A teenage schoolgirl was arrested by police for racism after refusing to sit with a group of Asian students because some of them did not speak English. Codie Stott's family claim she was forced to spend three-and-a-half hours in a police cell after she was reported by her teachers. The 14-year-old - who was released without charge - said it had been a simple matter of commonsense and accused the school and police of an over-the-top reaction. The incident happened in the same local education authority where a ten-year-old boy was prosecuted earlier this year for calling a schoolfriend racist names in the playground, a move branded by a judge "political correctness gone mad." Codie was attending a GCSE science class at Harrop Fold High School in Worsley, Greater Manchester, when the incident happened. The teenager had not been in school the day before due to a hospital appointment and had missed the start of a project, so the teacher allocated her

      Asians studying Hebrew
Westerners studying Chinese and Chinese studying English makes sense. An Israeli fascinated with Chinese language and culture shouldn't sound all that strange, right? But how about a Asian interested in Hebrew and Judaism? Wouldn't you find that to be special? Well, I've come to know and hear-about a few of those. On my first week in Taiwan I've made a very untypical expedition to go and try to find  the local Israeli community. No where better to start looking for that than the Israeli not-really-but-almost-embassy in Taiwan who were very nice to direct me to the local Jewish community. Making contact with the local Rabbi I've decided that despite my issues with religious faith I'll go the local Jewish temple and see the lively local Jewish community. Oddly, I found out that the local steady Hebrew speaking community consisted of two - one Rabbi and one Taiwanese. To my complete surprise the Christian Taiwanese girl spoke fluent Hebrew, studying the langua
