Company CEO Avi Shechter says the company is doing well, though, and the layoffs were to ensure that the company had enough capital to get them past 2009.
Decía el gran poeta José Hierro que "...La poesía es como el viento, o como el fuego, o como el mar. Hace vibrar árboles, ropas, abrasa espigas, hojas secas, acuna en su oleaje los objetos que duermen en la playa..." Mike had a chance yesterday to try out the new Microsoft TouchWall, which debuts at the CEO Summit today (more video at that second link).

Times Magazine has included Michael Arrington of Techcrunch in the list of world’s 100 most influential people. Congratulations Michael!! Michael is the only full time blogger who has been featured in Times Magazine so far. Time magazine describe his traits as intense, passionate, consumed with his subject, opinionated, sleep-deprived, forward-thinking, easy to irritate and apt to air his grudges in public. One of my favorite sites for startup news just hit TechCrunch…which sucks. When you find a really good site like YC News that is a Digg-like setup, the last thing you need is the negative readers of TechCrunch swamping the site. The site has been slow since the horrible article.
Of course the TechCrunch article will [...]

Apparently they are reporting that YouTube.com gets more hits than Google.com. Hmmm. I’m sure that TechCrunch, one of the most read blogs on the internet, doing an article on this has stirred the pot a bit. Check out the original article:
