RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Federal agents have raided an armory owned by security contractor Blackwater Worldwide.
The North Carolina-based company said the raid was part of an investigation into a deal that allowed a local sheriff's office to store high-powered assault rifles at the company's armory at its headquarters in Moyock.

Bannerman’s Island and the castle-like structures there are amazing sites in the middle of the Hudson River. They are a plein air painter’s dream. The island is currently owned by New York State, and access is prohibited except by special arrangement. A huge series of explosions on the island nearly leveled the buildings. The remains are barely standing and very dangerous—hence the need to limit access to the public. Today, Bannerman Castle Trust took me to the island for a day of plein air painting. I have a show at the Bannerman Island Gallery in October and will be selling some paintings of scenes on the island.
This is one of the oil sketches I did there today. It is the armory where Francis Bannerman kept his stash of munitions. I painted it sitting on the dock before it was time to leave. (It still needs a few tweaks to finish it up; I had to pack up to leave when the boat was ready to go!)

One of Tucson’s best kept secrets has been recognized by “Cottage Living” magazine as of the nation’s top ten charming communities.
Located just steps away from downtown, Armory Park del Sol is a close-knit community of eco-friendly homes designed with beautiful architectural styles that reflect Tucson’s rich history. It is located at the northeast corner of 3rd Avenue and 16th Street and, when finished, will consist of 99 custom homes built by John Wesley Miller, whose company is nationally renowned for it’s dedication to environmental conservation.
This community has been all over the news over the past few months because of its dedication to preserving the environment and has been featured in such publications as the Wall Street Journal, Arizona Republic, and Arizona Daily Star.
Here are just a few of the standard features for new homes in this community: (from armoryparkdelsol.com)

If you play WoW, or even know someone who does, chances are you've seen the Armory. If you haven't, here's the deal. The Armory allows anyone to visit the site and search for any character or guild in World of Warcraft. Once you've found what you seek, you can see player stats, equipped items, talent specs, reputation levels, and more. As if all that wasn't spiffy enough, Blizzard has added some new functionality to the Armory. First off, they've added an item database. Adding this reference has spawned several other new features. The coolest, in my opinion, is the ability for a player to pull up their Armory profile, mouse over a piece of their gear, and click an arrow to find an upgrade. You can see all these new features and more at the Armory. There's even an Updates Page that has tutorials on how to use all the new features as they are added. Enjoy checking out all your friends' (and enemies') gear!
Now we can search for desire item in the armory! I'm so obsessed with pole arm!The World of Warcraft Armory has been expanded with a new dimension of information and functionality - the Item Database !Visit WOW Armory at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com
