Strong Armed Robbery/ Malicious Wounding Waynesboro Police Responded to the Ally behind E-Z Mart, located at N. Delphine and 4TH ST. in reference to an assault at approximately 9:39 pm on 09/20/07. A woman was distraught today when two armed men entered her house in the wee hours of the morning. She woke up to find two men, both of whom were 6′1″, standing over her while she slept with guns pointed at her face. If I were the woman, the two things I would fear for if two tall men were standing over me while I was in bed is getting my face blown off and getting raped, but lucky for her, they only wanted her belongings. The men had a field day in rummaging through her house and taking what they wanted. Now while they probably took many things, the only item other than cash that was noted by the police was a Playstation 2 and some games. The robbers probably looked something like this. American forces have deployed robots equipped with automatic weapons in Iraq, the first battlefield use of machines capable of waging war by remote control. A US division of British defence company QinetiQ revealed that the 3rd Infantry Division, which is based south of Baghdad, purchased three Talon Sword robots for operations in Iraq. Sword robots are a modified version of track-wheeled bomb disposal devices in use around the world. Soldiers operate the robots with a specially modified laptop, complete with joystick controls and a ’kill button’ that terminates its functions if it goes awry. The victim was approached by two black male suspects who brandished a firearm and demanded money. They subsequently, they fled with an undetermined amount of money. The suspects were last seen in a small, red, four-door car, driven by a heavy- set white female wearing a pink shirt and shorts. One of the suspects is described as having braided hair and wearing a white t-shirt and long, baggy shorts. The other suspect was wearing a black t-shirt, baggy jeans, and a black baseball cap.
