Being published over 10 years ago (nearly 25 [...]

Recently the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), an advocacy group, along with Specialist Jeremy Hall filed suit in federal court in Kansas. This case being held in front of civil authorities alleges that Specialist Hall's right to be free from state endorsement of religion under the First Amendment has been violated, and that he has faced retaliation for his views. So we’ve had another great Coffee Shop idea for this month. We started planning about 2 months ago but, no matter how far in advance I try to plan thngs, they always seem to end up as last minute everythings.
Today, in case you don’t know, is Armed Forces Day 2007. We planned a [...]
This is a re-post from last year at this time, since I did not have time to dig up some more pics, but still felt the same sentiments.:
Since it's Armed Forces Day, I wanted to take time out to salute and thank our troops again. Those currently serving, and who have served. Thanks you so much for all you do!!! Below is a link to article that explains the history behind Armed Forces Day. Additionally, I put the link up to my Veteran's Day Tribute, which has some links to charities that benefit veterans:

Kerry, the 2004 Democratic presidential candidate, spoke to students at Pasadena City College in California on Monday. In part he said:
“You know, education — if you make the most of it, you study hard and you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. “
“If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”
While he may have mangled the delivery of his comments, intended to target George W. Bush, this veteran believes the Senator was spot-on and I support his statements 100%.
Kerry, who is not up for re-election this year, fired back at the White House and GOP, saying he was not disparaging U.S. soldiers.
“If anyone thinks a veteran would criticize the more than 140,000 heroes serving in Iraq and not the president who got us stuck there, they’re crazy,” he said. “No Democrat will be bullied by an administration that has a cut-and-run policy in Afghanistan and a stand-still-and-lose strategy in Iraq.”
