Arizona is a unique place. It's greatest attraction is it's weather. That's right, weather. It's hard to believe that people are attracted to a desert because of weather but it is true. The dry air and warm winters attract visitors from the north. Some people with asthmatic tendencies respond better to the dry air. Older couples prefer Arizona's weather for relief it gives them on their joints. And for the rest of the residents it is the fact that they can wear shorts in the middle of the winter. It does get chili in Arizona, but freezes are rare and brief. The winter afternoons will require a sweater at most. The full sunshine helps a vast amount of plants to and flowers to grow even in the winter. The valley is full of life even in the darkest times of year. Golfing is a big attraction

On May 1, PardonPower reported on the clemency request of 78-year-old Max Dunlap, who was convicted of the 1976 car-bomb murder of Don Bolles, an Arizona Republic reporter. The Arizona Board of Executive Clemency has since denied Dunlap's commutation request despite the fact that he claims to be innocent. Dunlap is not eligible for parole until 2014. His family members said he should be released from prison because of his poor health, but Bolles' daughter said he should remain in prison.

The Arizona Republic reports that a state panel will soon consider clemency for 78-year old Max Dunlap who was convicted for the 1976 murder of Arizona Republic reporter Don Bolles. Bolles died 11 days after a bomb exploded beneath his white Datsun (now enshrined in a museum dedicated to journalism) and Dunlap was believed to have hired two men to do "the job." In his clemency application, Dunlap says that he does not expect to live long, that he is "truly sorry" for his involvement with the other suspects in the crime and that he is "sorry for the newspaperman."See story here.

The market reports an increase in sales in the condo resale sector whilst at the same time a bank that has expanding into the area records big losses due to the slump in real estate sales. The worker, who’s name is being kept private, was removing a pile of rubble from the area when he spotted a bee hive underneath. The hive of bees quickly swooped up and attacked the construction worker, knocking him to the ground.
