Further, according to the web site, the update is available for non-branded devices only.Mine is non-branded E90 and when I ran the NSU, it just said that my firmware was up-to-date. I did update to 7.40.1.2 just two days ago and I thought I already had this new firmware but had not noticed it. But oops, when I ran the Flash player it's the same old 2.0.Updates speculated by AAS are very nice and interesting. It seems that this is just a beta version of the update and not a public release. When I was a little girl my father used to devise wicked April Fool's Day jokes and laugh for hours when we fell for them. As we got older the jokes became more spontaneous and were still mean and funny. One time he turned our horses loose knowing they would just wander across the road to the alfalfa field. He then ran into the house tell Shan (my sister) and I that we needed to go get them. When we headed through the field after them dad ran and hid behind a large patch of undergrowth. After we had caught the horses and were bringing them back dad made some Gawdawful noises like a large angry bear and began shaking the underbrush like the bear was coming our way. April Fool's jokes are kinda tricky. It's hard to really set one up properly to get the proper payoff. The main thing when pulling one online is to offer something that gets people salivating - and then pull the rug out from under them. Google had a great one last year, offering free high-speed internet service that involved running a cable down your toilet to access the supposed fiber-optic network they had built in the sewers. HA HA HA! It's so sad that it took me about 2 minutues to figure out that Google's new TiSP service was a APRIL FOOLS JOKE!!!! I completely forgot like an idiot and was like WOW, Google's coming out with a new service and I didn't even HEAR about through the grapevine, blogs, news, NOWHERE! And they are offering wireless fiber-optic routers for free!!! What the hell is going on! So then I went to the FAQ and read the system requirements at which point I FINALLY realized that it was a joke considering in order to have the wireless, you also need to have a toilet by which you would FLUSH one end of the fiber cable down and it would somehow be recieved by a "Plumbing Hardware Dispatcher" who would then connect it to the global network!! HAAHAHAHHAHA! And then I felt really stupid when I clicked on "How TiSP Works" and you see all the ridiculous pictures and setup screens. I feel really bad for the people who will fall for this...if I spent two minutes trying to figure it out, I'm sur
I updated my net worth just now and I have some good news! My net worth increased for the month. I think this is mainly due to a rebound in the markets, especially my international assets (and the small earnings from my part time job). My net worth currently stands at -$16,975. Not very good, but I don't think it is all that bad for having over $80,000 in student loans.A question that might arise is: why would someone keep over $60,000 in assets when he has student loans of more than $80,000? That is the topic for another post, but one I hope to write soon. Until then, you will just have to be satisfied with my most recent decision - to post quarterly asset breakdowns. At the end of each quarter, I will give a thorough breakdown of my assets, down to the individual stocks and ETF's I own. That is forthcoming for the first quarter of 2007 once I get it prepared.
