Nice series finale tonight. As I predicted a few weeks ago (although not on this blog, so you'll have to take my word for it!) Lee McQueen won the Apprentice, causing Claire Young to burst into horrible tears after having come so far. Last week we learned that Lee McQueen lied on his CV, but it seems as Sir Alan did not hold that against him and has hired him. McQueen has won The Apprentice, and with that has now been offered a job from Sir Alan Sugar, he will now earn £100,000. Claire Young, was the favourite [...]

Good to see Lucinda Ledgerwood making a complete fool of herself once again on last night's Apprentice. Lee is not happy about being with Lucinda and Sara. The huge five-mile souks will present the competitors with a real challenge."For a million pounds, even if Sir Alan said touch that snake or kiss that snake, I couldn't."Alex and Claire only get £1 off a juicer, with too many people involved in negotiating.Meanwhile Jenny's team manage to get a cow hide (with tail) at one third of asking price.Jenny and Michael also try to get merchants to pretend they cannot help the other team, but no luck there.Result:Alpha(Lee): al
The Apprentice contender Jennifer Maguire (show me the money! OK then, don't!) has fled to Ireland due to fears of an angry reaction from Apprentice fans in the UK.So I guess she didn't win it. I get the feeling she'll be off this week. She was the one who Nick described as bringing a 'chill' to the air. There's nothing wrong with bringing a chill to the air, as long as Lucinda is wearing a bra at the time.A show source told the papers: "It was clear she was going to face an angry reaction from the public after all the episodes were aired. So she decided to sell up and move back to Ireland after the show finished."Hang on. She tried her best but the British public decided they didn't like her. Seems there are lessons for Gordon Brown here.Don't be seen as cold.Don't ruthlessly pursue you
Did you see The Apprentice this week? The challenge was to make a greeting cards for a new event, and one of the teams decided to make a greeting card teaching the lessons of how to be environmentally friendly. What, like a greeting cards that says, "Stop buying these cards" written on the front? An eco-friendly thing that's disposable and made from trees makes about as much sense as a 'stop smoking' badge being sponsored by Amy Winehouse. They were good to be thinking of saving the planet, but way off the mark with the actual idea. One idea that makes so much more sense is a website set up so that you can find a partner to car share with. It's odd that we all drive around in cars with three of the four seats not being used.At rideshare.com you can find people to car pool with. That will sa
I know that I blogged about The Apprentice only very recently, but today I'm going to do so again – after all, it's not often that you see a debate over the positioning of an apostrophe on prime-time television. For those who had the misfortune not to see yesterday's episode, the teams' task was to design greetings cards based around a new 'special occasion' of their choice. One of the teams decided to designate February 13 as a national day for single people, but had trouble deciding on the correct punctuation to use (see poll on the right). At one point during the three or four hours of apostrophe-related debate (which, fortunately, was edited down for the benefit of viewers), team leader Michael Sophocles even attempted to phone the editor of national paper the Telegraph to ask his opin
One of the funnier episodes of the Apprentice this week. The contestants were summoned to Hackney Town Hall to be told their task was to market greetings cards.Kevin Shaw was told to lead Renaissance, while Michael Sophocles was told to lead Alpha.Kevin told us how rich his life has been "By the age of 23, I had my second house...Now I want a Ferrari."Claire Young said Kevin suffered from "short man syndrome" and that the animal he was most like was a pitbull. His team choose an environment theme, while Alpha choose the idea of a singles' day.If the position of the apostrophe in that sentence is worrying you, it vexed Michael, who spent three hours ringing round institutions such as the British Library and the Daily Telegraph to find out, in an arrogant manner. The team also had to find model

Ha, ha, ha,..!!!OJ Simpson or shall we say ex roommate number 666, has reportedly asked Donald Trump to be a part of next season’s Celebrity Apprentice.
OJ, is a retired American football player who earned infamy for having been tried for the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman in 1994.

The books in this trilogy are #1 “Split Infinity”, #2 The Blue Adept and the final “Juxtaposition. Piers Anthony is a mystery to me. I have greatly enjoyed some of his books such as “The Source of Magic” and “If I Pay Thee Not in Gold” with Mercedes Lackey. I just didn’t find any thing to identify with in this trilogy. I didn’t care for the story line or characterizations. I wouldn’t discount him out as an author though. He has written some very entertaining stuff. Time for this week's Friday roundup:***I'm a fan of The Apprentice, which is in its third series here in the UK, and watching it this week I was amused to hear one of the contestants referred to (by Voiceover Man) as a "trained barrister". I didn't know that you could become a barrister without training. What's that – you can't? Then surely just 'barrister' would have done. Or maybe he meant "trained as a barrister but not practising as one..."Alan Sugar, silver fox***A couple of additions to our blogroll, both worth checking out: Copy-Editing Corner and Headup: the blog. It's not exactly organising a p*ss-up in a brewery, but this week the teams have to sell pub food.Fourteen candidates. They meet surallen, Margaret and Nick in the fantastic Tate Modern. The girls go for a Bollywood theme in the King's Head in Islington, while the boys choose to cook Italian food.Kevin Shaw is made head chef and claims to be happy.Early tensions when the boys buy the food. With the girls, Nick Hewer looks like he sat on a mousetrap when Sara Dhada (project leader) and Claire Young argue about food.Lunch not ready for the ladies' team.A waiter from a nearby resturant claims to be a Bollywood dancer and is asked to perform.Cringeworthy personal introductions between waitresses and guests.Overlong pep talk by Kevin outside of the kitchen "Big drive".Pizzas are halved as they hav
Akatu Ochai was fired in last nights fifth episode of the Apprentice Africa basically because of keeping in reservations he had about a comercial advert that Zulu Corp came up with. But most importantly from the episode one could clearly see that Biodin Shobanjo has a soft spot for Eddie Mbugua and Tunde(Babatunde Ojikutu) .Will one of them end up being the Apprentice in the final show? ...who
Another week of incompetence and internal struggle on the Apprentice. It's the best reality shop since Coach Trip ended.Seven a.m. and a contestant, clad in a Superman t-shirt, answers the phone. As Sir Alan Sugar has to attend to an "urgent meeting", he talks to them by video.I would have preferred a badly shot Youtube video with Alan, Margaret and Nick sitting on a sofa drinking beer and gigging in between explaining the task.Laundry this week:Nick Hewer, a man with the demanour of a confused Jeeves, met the boys, and Raef Bjayou became team leader. The boys did well on the task, although they did hide the irons from the girls' team, which Sir Alan Sugar failed to comment on.I though that was a little unfair, although the girls having to take washing back to the pimping shag pad that Sir Al
By: Roshawn WatsonThanks to all the people who wrote in over the past few weeks. I am fine but was too busy to consistently update Watson Inc with meaningful content. One hot topic that several readers wrote me about was Celebrity Apprentice. It ended on last Thursday. Since I was giving weekly recaps, I feel compelled to address to season finale. Briefly, I was immensely disappointed. Check out my brand new budgeting series!Piers should not have made the final two, given his poor character and the recommendations from the advisors (Erin and Mad Money star Jim Crammer). He is simply a mean, arrogant, and ruthless person who few people liked. Unfortunately, those people who liked him had money and that made him look good with respect to some tasks. By: Roshawn Watson I have to say that I am surprised by some of the behaviors by this season’s participants. I expect these “business-savvy stars” to be more poised and civil in front of the camera. This week’s task was simple and objective: raise the most money selling carriage rides in central park. Once again, the teams were shuffled a bit. The new team Hydra consisted of Piers Morgan, Omarosa, Lennox Lewis, and Carol Alt. Team Empressario members were Marilu Henner, Tito Ortiz, Trace Atkins, and Stephen Baldwin. What should have been a straight forward task, ended up causing one of be biggest disputes in Apprentice history.Piers was project manager for Team Hydra, and he said that his strategy was: just raise as much money as possible.
