According to the study, Apple may actually have higher profit margins on its new G3 iPhone. Lower component costs may allow Apple to exceed 50 percent profit margins on every iPhone sold. ISupply estimates manufacturing costs for each iPhone to be around $173 compared to $265 for the original iPhone. With each iPhone selling for $200 and a $300 subsidy Apple may be experiencing very high profit
Apple's iPhone expansion will apparently include the Netherlands as Thompson Financial has reported wireless carrier Royal KPN to be in negotiations to bring the iPhone to the European country. Per a KEP spokesman, "KPN was approached by Apple about selling the iPhone on the Dutch market and, of course, the company is interested."
Apple Inc. is negotiating with record labels over a deal to give iPhone and iPod customers free access to the entire iTunes music library if they pay extra for the devices.
The Financial Times is reporting that the sticking point in the talks is how much Cupertino-based Apple will pay the record labels for the access. [...]
Rumors have been surrounding a possible addition to the multitude of Apple iPod Shuffle colors. The addition will be a (RED) product, which helps support charities and non-profits for Africa. Supposedly, up to $10 of every sale could potentially go to charities, without an actual price increase. Product (RED) merchandise has been selling like hotcakes for Apple’s current iPod Nano, but the addition of the red color should be quite complementary to the current product line.

Ah, content providers and their stringent pricing and sales schemes. On the same note, NBC signed up knowing what the deal was, and now they want to come along and change it like as if they have a stake in the company?
Basically what is happening is NBC is apparently wanting to change the pricing scheme for its shows. As if that wasn’t enough, they also want the ability to bundle videos, I don’t know if they would be bundling multiple videos, test pilots, or advertisements, but surely there has to be a reason why Apple is so dead set against it since they already bundle songs in albums.
