There are three kinds of sleep apnea: obstructive sleep apnea,

occurs when there is an obstruction of the airway passages of your
body. On the other hand, Central sleep apnea means that the airway
passages are not blocked; instead, the brain is not able to properly
control the muscles involved in breathing. Finally, mixed sleep apnea

The use of a breathing treatment called continuous positive airway pressure may improve depressive symptoms in patients with obstructive sleep apnea, according to a study in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine.
Obstructive sleep apnea is a common problem in which patients stop breathing for short periods during sleep. It occurs when soft tissues in the back of the throat relax and temporarily block the airway. The condition is frequently seen in individuals who are obese and those who snort.
With continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), the patient wears a special mask that continuously blows air into the throat, preventing the tissues from collapsing.Sources:Reuters October 31, 2007

Sleep apnea has been known to originate from blocked passages in people and addressing them in the best way that anyone can will surely be a good way to whittle down the possibilities of blocked airways that deprives people of sleeping.
The airways are important once people are sleeping and through some procedures governing the areas of throat and mouth, a cure may be in sight for people who want to address the whole sleep apnea issue.
“Continuous positive airway pressure, or CPAP, is a well-established treatment for sleep apnea,” said lead study author Akram Khan, MD, Assistant Professor, University of Florida Jacksonville, “and while most patients tolerate it well, some are unable to tolerate it or don’t want to, and those patients need alternative means of treatment.”

Sleep apnea, something that has been a bane for most people can only be fully studied and diagnosed using the standard procedure of measuring nasal pressure through sensors placed in the nose. This is entirely uncomfortable and people just have to bear with it to gain the necessary treatment of the said sleep problem.
Today, the use of remote-controlled infrared diagnostic tests provides an alternative and convenient way of diagnosing sleep apnea among sleep deprived patients.
“Polysomnography is a diagnostic test, which establishes the presence or absence of sleep disorders. But standard methods have the potential to significantly disturb a patient’s sleep pattern, so what we see in the lab may not be a true representation of the patient’s sleep habits,” said lead study author Jayasimha Murthy, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine, University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, TX. “However, remote infrared imaging is a noncontact method, so ther

Now as you know loud snoring may be a symptom of sleep apnea. When a person is suffering from this problem, they will stop breathing countless times during the night while they are sleeping. They will eventually start breathing with in a gap of few seconds with a feeling of breathlessness. Now this obstruction of breathing may be stressful for the body especially the heart and the brain as the amount of oxygen in the blood goes down when you don’t breathe.
Current research indicates that undiagnosed sleep apnea during pregnancy (SAPS) puts mothers at risk for the following complications in pregnancy:
growth retardation of the fetus (low birth weight)
pre-eclampsia (pregnancy-induced hypertension)
placenta abruptia (tearing of the placenta from the uterine wall)
premature delivery.
Why it may happen?
Obesity is a major risk factor for sleep apnea, and some experts believe that pregnancy may also make you more susceptible, particularly in the third trimester. The

Snoring and sleep apnea are interrelated. Snoring can be a symptom of sleep apnea Or in other words Sleep apnea is more chronic form of snoring which has to be taken seriously.
Sleep Apnea is a sleep disorder causing interruptions in the regular breathing process of the human body. It’s not just about sound.
Apnea, the Greek word literally means without breath. The Blockage of the air passage while sleeping is Sleep Apnea. A huge percentage of the population, irrespective of age are victims of Sleep Apnea.
A person with Sleep Apnea often wakes up in the middle of his sleep, almost breathless to regain the rhythm of breathing. It’s a life threatening, progressive disorder which has to be treated.
Symptoms of Sleep Apnea can be as follows
Regular blockage of air passage
Loud snoring
Frequent break down of sleep to normalize breathing
Sweating during night
Dry mouth, sore throat
Sleepiness during day time
Lethargy
Loss of memory
Morning fatigue when waking
Change in personality

At least there are a few good things about sleep apnea. First, who needs a doctor when your spouse can diagnosis it for you? Second, and a little more seriously, once diagnosed it is very treatable.
Sleep apnea is a challenging underwriting task for life insurance. Like health issues such as type 2 diabetes, the actual disease or problem may not carry that high a mortality risk, but when combined with all the collateral health issues it becomes much more complicated.
Take for instance the fact that a person with sleep apnea is four times more likely to have a stroke. About half of all people with sleep apnea also suffer from high blood pressure. Most men with sleep apnea have been beaten by their wives on multiple occasions until they have agreed to see a doctor.
Bottom line. Life insurance is all about determining mortality risk. When sleep apnea is out of control the mortality risk is substantially elevated due to collateral issues. When it is well controlled, providing all other ris
A client I worked with this week was a little miffed because Met Life didn’t come through with the rate the agent said they would, even though he had divulged his health history and his labwork was perfect. Apparently he quoted the client $1800 a year and it was approved at $2400, just a little 30% surprise.
The Met Life agent said he shopped the industry and couldn’t find anyone that would beat the price. The client enlisted Accuquote who also claimed that the $2400 range was as good as it would get.
My client’s health history? Mild sleep apnea and well controlled ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder). The industry average on this client would be a standard rate at $2400 a year for the coverage he wanted. I shopped this and found some companies that were well above that, two companies that were in the $1800 range and one company, a major player for a long time said that as long as both issues are well controlled, they will approve it for just under $1200, their best rate
Sleep apnea problems are often seen as a problem in adults. However, even the kids today suffer from unsuspecting sleep apnea issues. It is indeed something that may not be thought of but hearing or seeing your child breathing abnormally may lead a person to think that there is really something wrong with the child.
Tonsils would normally be identified as a culprit towards being an obstruction towards air passage in most people today. While it may be surprising to note on most kids today, the reality is that sleep apnea does not choose or have preference on which it victimizes. This includes kids who seem to be normal but have issues once they go to bed and rest.

Unless there are other means a person has resorted to for them to conclude that they have the dreaded sleep apnea problem, chances are it will all be a matter of psychological proportions.
The only way a person can find out if he is indeed hit with this hated sleep disorder is through consulting a sleep specialist who in turn will endorse patients to a sleep lab for more elaborate testing.
Sleep apnea is not inherited and concluded based on facts alone. It needs some medical support findings as well before its presence is officially concluded.
Why is sleep apnea serious?
Sleep apnea is nothing to be taken lightly. Dr. Steven Moore, director at Sleep Management Institute, explains that sleep apnea can create low oxygen levels and heart-rhythm problems.
“Other symptoms would be the risk of falling asleep while driving or while using heavy equipment,” Moore says. Sleep apnea also has been linked to heart disease and diabetes, and has a weak correlation to strokes.

For people who are seeking medical help, the issue of having sleeping disorders such as sleep apnea can stand in the way between getting better and addressing the said medical treatment. Known life threatening diseases such as Cancer usually need the proper medication.
This of course does not entirely cater towards the area of needing the proper amount of sleep alone. Ruling out the other potential complications such as sleep apnea induced heart problems is a necessity. Thus with this in mind, it is prevalent that all potent medical solutions and therapies have to be restrained since doing so may produce graver life threatening all the more.

While the issue of sleep apnea for victims who have been battling the problem for some time may be remedied more or less through medication and sleeping gadgets, it should not be forgotten that their partners or loved ones may be encountering difficulties in sleeping as well since they have to look after them. Such is a reality and people may either contract the same sleeping problem or a more severe health concern.Hence, observing sleep apnea patients does not end there. It should also include looking after the caretakers who are suffering altogether. From a glance it would all seem like sleep apnea is indeed contagious but I guess this would depend on how people would go about taking care of their loved one suffering from the said sleep disorder.

As a popular saying goes "self help is the best help an individual can offer to himself"
Always self-care is the most correct way to deal with obstructive sleep apnea and sometimes for central sleep apnea and mixed apnea too.
The following are some of the self care guidelines that helps a person cope with sleep apnea.
1. A person who is over-weight might run a higher risk of developing sleep apnea. Due to excessive fatty growth of the body tissues there might be blockages in the airways. Therefore the best way to avoid sleep apnea is to lose weight in a healthy way. For those who are already suffering from sleep apnea even a slight loss in the excess weight might help them from throat constriction.
2. In obstructive sleep apnea, any contributor to the obstruction in the throat worsens the problem. Therefore avoiding alcohol, smoking and over the counter tranquilizers and sleeping pills will prevent the aggravating condition. Especially smoking has to be totally avoided as

Efforts to discover what causes sleep apnea have been intense, and although the actual cause may not have been identified, researchers have discovered that sleep apnea (sleep apnoea) health problems can be serious.
There are several major risk factors for heart disease such as obesity, alcohol abuse, and smoking, but you might be surprised to find out that sleep apnea is also a major risk factor. Combine any of these factors, and the risk doubles for serious sleep apnoea health problems. For example, if you are obese and you suffer from sleep apnea, then your ri
The thing with sleep apnea these days is that it congests the nasal airway passages, thereby leading to obstructive breathing and eventual snoring in the process. There are various solutions provided such as the ever so popular CPAP masks to help aid people when they sleep but the matter of comfort has not been properly covered. Some people find it a nuisance to wear masks, taking them out of their comfort zone just to avoid sleep obstruction and get the supposed sleeping respite that people should be readily enjoying.
With this new kind of alternative, a single nasal tube which will deliver warm and humidified air at a high flow rate can improve patient outcomes with the said sleeping disorder. The study was conducted at the John Hopkins University.

It is evident that sleep apnea has been a growing problem for most people, not only in sleep deprivation issues but health maintenance as well. There have been various forms of remedies and therapies today and among them include the use of sleep apnea patients on CPAP masks or mouth guards to help the passage of air.
However, the Medical College of Wisconsin are now finalizing the possible alternative of using sleep apnea implant devices that can help resolve the sleep apnea epidemic. While the incision towards the chin may seem to be a painful experience, medical researchers and physician have guaranteed that is not.

The industry norm for underwriting sleep apnea has been the same for years until the Rock rocked the boat.
Mild to moderate sleep apnea has historically been underwritten at a standard or possibly a standard plus rate depending on compliance with cpap use and a sleep study showing controlled apnea when using the cpap. Out of the blue, Prudential has stepped up and said that they will offer their best rate class, one of the best rates available in the industry, for sleep apnea in the mild to moderate categories as long as compliance is good and all other risk factors fall within their best rate class underwriting guidelines.
This is huge. It could potentially cut in half the premium payments for those that qualify. For those currently paying the higher rates, it can mean more money in their pocket, or more insurance and longer terms without higher cost.
Remember now - ALL OTHER RISK FACTORS IN THE BEST RATE CLASS MUST BE MET. Some of the things that might keep you from improving with th
Many people with sleep apnea are told to lose weight as part of their treatment. But what about the other way around? Is it possible to lose weight because of treating the sleep apnea? The first line of treatment normally is a continuous positive airway pressure mask or better known as CPAP which is worn while sleeping. If you have been to see the physician about your snoring and/or possible obstructive sleep apnea then you might have heard the recommendation to lose weight. A high percentage of people who have sleep apnea are over weight. Studies have shown that just by losing 10 pounds can greatly improve your sleep. Why? With sleep apnea, the soft palate in the back of your throat collapses...extra weight can play a big part in the amount of room for air and only exacerbates the obstruction. Losing weight can be a challenging feat in itself much less trying to lose weight when you are miserable from sleep deprivation. Here is some positive news. In the last 10 years that
A person who cannot sleep easily is a reality. Many of us blame the lack of sleep towards a person’s own preference but there are really medical inclinations that can be traced towards why people are living that way.
Lack of sleep or sleep apnea is a serious case to ponder upon, especially if people cannot really sleep at proper times and even when they try to make up for the lost sleeping time. Add to this the fact of health problems such as epilepsy as will be shown in the video then you have a serious problem to worry about.
Finally, many people should consider that the lack of sleep may result in health problems as well. We should remember, not getting enough rest as needed by our bodies will affect various areas of the human anatomy.

Menopause is a common disorder that is immediately associated with women who go past their prime of reproductive proceedings. Usually, women who hit the age of 50 to 51 would be susceptible to mood swings, hot flashes and fatigue. Overall, these would be immediate symptoms of sleeping disorders. Hence, menopause having most of these symptoms would most likely be a clear state that will lead to the same sleeping disorder that women would encounter today.
Snoring among women at this age is a sign of abnormalities in breathing. While they can be immediately associated with fatigue, the fact remains that it is part of the stage and process. For women who may find themselves in such a state, it would be better to seek medical evaluation. The health risks involved in such should be thoroughly evaluated and at that prime age, anything of the medical aspect may be key towards continuous healthy living.

A recent study from Yale University claims that sleep apnea is life threatening and once should immediately seek treatment for it. According to them the condition increases the risk of having a heart attack or dying by 30 percent. Some sleep apnea symptoms include; excessive daytime sleepiness and snoring. One can combat this by using a nasal CPAP, which delivers airs via a mask while sleeping.

Although it has been known for some time now that children with sleep apnea often produce poor scores on IQ tests (typically scoring an average of 85 against a score of 101 for children without sleep apnea) what has not been known until recently is that this results from chemical changes within the brain. This means that an otherwise 'smart' kid may well turn in a mediocre performance as a result of nothing more than a sleep disorder which, in most cases, can be quite easily treated. In a study conducted at the Hopkin's Children's Centre in Baltimore, 31 children between the ages of 6 and 16 (19 of whom had severe sleep apnea) were examined using a special form or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and it was found that those children with sleep apnea showed significant changes in both the hippocampus and right frontal cortex - two areas of the brain associated with learning and higher mental function. The same study also discovered that these children had altered levels of three che
Sleep apnea is a disorder that can seriously impact your health and quality of life given the fact you need peaceful sleep. Acupuncture for sleep apnea is one treatment.Acupuncture and Sleep ApneaThe term sleep apnea refers to a generalized sleeping disorder syndrome that is characterized by several conditions. Frequent and loud snoring that is sometimes followed by a temporary cessation of breathing is one of them. Most likely as a result of this primary symptom, other symptoms include tiredness during the day, morning headaches, dry mouth, and sore throat. Depression is common and impotence and high blood pressure also often occur. You would be hard pressed to find another condition that so well illustrates the weakness of Western Medicine when compared to Traditional Chinese Medicine in the area of internal medical conditions. When you examine most literature on sleep apnea, you are going to encounter much on the symptoms, but very little on the cause. The treatment suggestions are g
Sleep apnea is a very common sleep disorder which affects more than twelve million Americans and is now as common as adult diabetes. The commonest form of sleep apnea is obstructive sleep apnea which, as the name suggests, results from an obstruction to the airways which interferes with breathing. There is also a second form of sleep apnea known as central sleep apnea, in which the brain fails to control breathing adequately during sleep. Finally, some people suffer from mixed sleep apnea, which is a combination of both obstructive and central forms of the condition.Sleep apnea symptoms can appear at any time and, while they are most commonly seen in overweight men over the age of forty, they can be found in both men and women at any age and are increasingly being seen today in children. The most obvious symptom of sleep apnea is snoring which is of course a difficult symptom to spot yourself and normally needs to be pointed out to you by a sleeping partner. Snoring has many causes and t
Those of you reading this have probably come here because you have some sleeping disorder of some kind. This short piece is about sleep apnea which is a common breathing condition that can range from mild to moderate to severe. Adult sleep apnea is common around the world and the name comes from the Greek word, apnea, meaning "want of breathe. But just what causes it and what can we do to tackle the problem? Sleep apnea sufferers are those folks that consistently experience interrupted breathing whilst sleeping. Sometimes the sufferer wakes up gulping or gasping for air. One of the common symptoms of sleep apnea is snoring, but that doesn't mean to say that all those that snore have the condition. What happens with the sufferer is the that the snore itself actually stops the breathing while they are asleep, and this can last for up to 10 seconds 5 or more times an hour. Over time, if gone untreated, this can lead to many more serious health conditions due to there being low o
Don't get me wrong, there is no substitute for CPAP when it comes to treating Sleep Apnea. The proper thing to do, if you suspect that you might have it, is to go to a sleep specialist and follow his instructions. He will probably recommend CPAP, surgery, or oral appliance therapy. This list is not necessarily an alternative to CPAP, surgery, or oral appliances, but rather supplementary methods that decrease the probability of airway collapse. Usually these methods are not enough to entirely eliminate apnea. Again, talk to your doctor before attempting to treat sleep apnea. So here are the six ways: 1. Weight Loss - Unless you are extremely overweight AND your sleep apnea is mild, usually weight loss is not enough to entirely eliminate it. But it can definitely help. Weight loss is thought to improve apnea by changing the shape of the airway which decreases the probability of airway collapse. 2. Avoid Alcohol Before Bedtime - Alcohol relaxes the muscles in the airway, which worsens sn
Sleep apnea is a condition that can be caused by a medical condition, by your tonsils, or from an accident. Sleep apnea is a problem that affects thousands, possibly even millions, but there are methods of treatment to put a stop to those problems. If you have been in an accident and you have a problem with your nasal passage or your throat when sleeping, this could cause you to breath differently and interrupt your sleeping habits, as you are unable to breath when you sleep. If you have nasal problems, of you have an enlarged tonsil or gland, or you have excessive tissue in your air passages, you could be suffering from sleep apnea as well. If you have not done so already, talking with your doctor about your sleep problems is going to be the first step in treatment. If someone in your home says that you are not breathing right when you are sleeping, this is a sign of sleep apnea. If you wake up with a headache every day, this is another sign of sleep apnea. If you have a dry mouth, i
There are many problems that can be the result of having sleep apnea. There are many people that have to deal with the fact that they are going to have a hard time dealing with the day ahead of them. They may feel tired and restless because they did not get enough sleep the night before. However, there are other problems that can happen because of lack of sleep. There are health problems that many people will face because they are having difficulty sleeping. When a person is suffering from sleep apnea, they are going to have pauses in their breathing. During these pauses in breathing, the oxygen level in the blood drops. The brain will react to the drop in oxygen by waking up the person for long enough to resume breathing again. For some, snoring is often the result of having sleep apnea. The cycle of snoring and not breathing will mean that you do not get enough of the quality sleep that is so necessary for a person to function properly. If a person does not get the quality sleep tha
Sleep apnea can affect just about anyone at anytime in his or her life. This is not a problem that only happens to certain people. There are over 15 million people that are dealing with some form of sleep apnea and would like to have help with their problem. This is some thing that is affecting a lot of people and their daily lives. There are some facts that have been proven about sleeping apnea and who is more likely to have it. Studies have shown that the numbers are higher in men to have the sleep apnea problems. There are women who also have to deal with the problem but it seems to go undiagnosed more in women than in men. Sleep apnea has also been linked to running in families. There are many families that have more than one person dealing with some form of sleep apnea. This is a reason why researchers are thinking that this problem is genetic and can be found in different family members. This is one thing to think about if you are finding it hard to sleep. You may be having tro
There are many reasons why people need to find help for sleep apnea. It is a terrible problem that will only continue to get worse and eventually make your life even harder than it has to be. Many people think that having a sleeping disorder is no big deal, however it really is. There are many disadvantages to having a sleep apnea problem. One big consequence of having sleep apnea is that the person will be suffering throughout the day. They are going to have an awful time getting through a day at school or work. The person is going to be tired and have great fatigue during the day when they need to be alert and awake. This could affect the job or school performance and eventually lead to bad grades or termination. Driving for people that deal with sleep apnea is going to be a problem as well. This is another reason why sleep apnea is a concern for many. The reflexes of drivers that do not get enough sleep are similar to those that are drunk. They are going to have a hard time concentr
Plus: A Likely Cause for High Blood Pressure I understand from reading a great book, "The Promise of Sleep" by Dr William Dement that ALL snoring is a form of sleep disorder. There are two main kinds of snoring. One is not only annoying to other people. It means your throat is collapsed and your body is having to work harder to suck in air - and is suffering to some extent or other from lack of oxygen. The worst kind of snoring is life-threatening. It is called "apnea". Fifty million people in the USA suffer from it and most of them don't know it. About 38,000 fatal heart attacks and strokes each year are from apnea. Dr Dement says that apnea sufferers often have super loud snoring and high blood pressure. They are often subject to extreme fatigue. A person with apnea literally stops breathing while asleep, because their throat collapses. They then 'wake-up' but don't remember that they did, then start breathing again and then go back to sleep. This can happen hundreds of times i
Lower airway surgery is normally done for two reasons - to increase the size of the airway to improve breathing and to prevent the airway from collapsing. It also helps to minimize or prevent snoring for sleep apnea sufferers. There are several types of lower airway surgery: Genioglossus Advancement The muscle called the genioglossus connects the back of the tongue to a spot on the rear of the chin. Genioglossus advancement moves the tongue forward to leave more space for air to circulate. This surgery is done via an incision inside the patient's lower lip. Hyoid Advancement Slightly above the Adam's apple is a C-shaped bone called the hyoid bone. This bone connects the muscles at the edge of the lower throat to the back of the tongue. Hyoid advancement surgery is done to increase the space behind the tongue, allowing air to flow more freely. In this procedure, an incision is made in the hyoid bone which is then brought forward and attached to either the jawbone or the Adam's apple.
If it's left untreated, sleep apnea can lead to other serious heart-related health problems such as hypertension, high blood pressure, arrhythmia, hypercapnia, stroke and heart disease. The link between heart disease and sleep apnea is still not fully understood, however. People who are suffering from heart problems tend to have a high number of occurrences of sleep apnea. However, it isn't fully clear if the sleep apnea is the direct cause of the heart disease. One thing that is clear is that someone who is suffering from sleep apnea has a much greater chance of developing hypertension. It has been shown that people who are suffering from both sleep apnea and high blood pressure show considerable improvement when treated for both. The same goes for sleep apnea and heart disease. When a sleep apnea episode happens at night, the blood pressure increases because of a drop in the oxygen levels in the body. When this occurs, the brain tells the blood vessels to "tighten up" in order to g
Numerous scientific studies have shown a correlation between neck size and obstructive sleep apnea. Men with neck large than 17 inches in diameter and women with necks larger than 15.5 inches are more likely to snore and have sleep apnea.

As the parent of a child with sleep apnea, you will find they snore; they make all types strange noises when they are sleeping, and you will find their small chest is going to retract as they try to catch a breath when sleeping. A child with sleep apnea is not going to be getting a good night sleep when they are not able to breath properly while sleeping. Sleeping, with snoring, and with the inability to breath properly can lead to harsh behavior, the inability to concentrate and the child is going to be tired more often. The same symptoms that adults feel and notice will be noticed in children when it comes to sleep apnea, and obstructive sleep apnea. The signs that a child is tired during the day, that you hear the noises when they are sleeping, that you see they have a hard time breathing when they are sleeping, and that they are cranky or irritable even after a long nights rest, these are all signs of sleep apnea. The signs of a child that is suffering with sleep apnea are similar to
Diagnosing sleep apneaIf you are not sure if you have a breathing problem when you are sleeping, you have a few alternatives to find out just what is going on. Breathing problems are most noticeable because you actually stop breathing, for a few seconds, or for up to thirty seconds at a time if you have sleep apnea symptom. As you stop breathing, and you are sleeping, your body is put under additional stress. Your heart can be put under stress, it will slow in beating, and the oxygen levels in your body will decrease at the same time. Oxygen levels need to remain constant to reduce stress on your body and your cardiovascular system. If you are sleeping in a home alone, it can be hard to for you to ask someone else if you snore when you sleep, or if you are 'stopping' breathing when you are sleeping. If there are children or a spouse in the house, or your parents, or relatives, you can ask them if you snore loudly or if you are making any funny noises when you are sleeping.Ask your sist

This is a flow of air, to the airway in your body, through the nose or the mouth that is going to provide oxygen to your body.As the continued pressure on the airway is maintained, the airway is going to remain open while you are sleeping. This is a therapy that is used on thousands of people, and that is getting results wi
There are three different types of sleep apnea, "obstructive sleep apnea" being the most common, and this is the type we are mainly looking at here. This term, obstructive sleep apnea refers to a breathing disorder which happens when the patient is sleeping and their breathing undergoes brief and repeated interruptions.Sleep apnea was discovered not that long ago, in the 60s, I think. It is more common in drinkers and smokers and people who are overweight.Obstructive sleep apnea has been connected with, strokes, and also cardiopulmonary problems. Obstructive sleep apnea is extremely common, and is reported to affect about twelve million Americans. This condition can be a life-threatening disorder. Unfortunately, the individual who suffers from sleep apnea is usually the last one to know.Sleep apnea Symptom:Obviously, because symptoms occur when the persons asleep, they are normally first noticed by their partner. Sleep apnea is going to be noticed when a person can't breath while sleeping, the person make gasping noises, or the chest will sink in while they are not breathing at night.Children are observed sleeping, and one will notice this condition almost right away. For the adult, a spouse will notice the condition, the snoring, and the gasping for breath, as it will keep another person awake at night. Those who are suffering with sleep apnea, with obstructive sleep apnea are known to have an enlarged heart. If you wake up everyone around you, every single night, that's also not normal. If you find yourself waking up constantly in the middle of the night, out of breath and gasping for air, then you have a serious problem. Your snoring can actually be a sign that you have sleep apnea.Obstructive sleep apnea is a major medical concern. Obstructive sleep apnea is caused by floppy tissue in the back of your throat. As you breathe, your soft tissue structures can constrict the flow of air or cut off your supply of oxyg
Are you waking up tired throughout the day? Is it getting in the way? Want a natural way to cure it? Or are you one of the others, the brave ones that live with a snorer, or sleep in the same bed. Are you looking for a cure as well? I know that some times snoring and sleep apnea can be cured naturally, but sometimes more treatment is needed to help. For the many that suffer from this, there are those in their households that suffer as well. Others that want to help, but don't know what to do. The best thing I can suggest is that you tell the person what is going on, things that you observe while they are asleep and accompany them to their physician's office to get help for it. Again, there is a chance that you can care for it without any surgeries or treatment, but it is better to get checked out to be sure.Being a snorer and suffering from sleep apnea, I know all of the embarrassment of falling asleep in a crowded are and snoring so loud I bothered everyone in the room.
