During the fishing season, you find some exceptional areas to crappie fish. When you use the GPS to pinpoint the areas that are known to have crappie populations, you can program that area into the GPS.
The waypoints will help you out the next time you go fishing. Some anglers actually sell their waypoints, which [...]
My wife decided it would be a good day to have a walk along the beach and a bit of a fish and then some breakfast (I wasn't going to argue). As I was setting up for tomorrows fishing trip I was experimenting with a new rig and remembered a great knot for attaching lures which I thought I would share with my readers. The loop knot or "anglers loop" is one of the most popular methods of attaching a l
I went for a quick fish this morning before breakfast with my wife. We didn't take the boat out and instead fished off the bank, but still caught quite a few fish. Well I actually should say my wife caught most of the fish. Fortunately I am just happy being there and I actually enjoy seeing people catch and release fish. I don't get grumpy when I can't catch them, which is a good thing because my
I’m not and not yet become as member of RAFAC, but in my opinion this community was very exciting, because of only looking for rabbitfish, the unique fishing technique, and was full of the sensation for anyone who already try it. Moreover this community’s members are very exciting and amusing if they talking in the [...]
You must look at this fishing video. Two dummies fishing and if I were them, there is now way I would have post that video. First of all, the fishing idiot is holding his fishing rod upside-down, just like a kid!First, they catch a nice walleye but they decided to through it back because "they're not good for eating". What were they looking for, Atlantic smoked salmon?Second, amazing video, a nice musky is grabbing the walleye and holding on to it! At several occasions, the musky will release the walleye and attack it again. Our two clowns are then trying to "gaff" the musky, what are they doing with a "gaff" while fishing? Were they looking for sharks? I'm glad the musky didn't get in the boat, dummy anglers like them don't deserve it.Mike
Andalucia is one of the most popular destination for holiday makers in the world, and while many of the thousands of visitors that arrive each year come for the regions stunning beaches, bustling nightlife and of course the Golf, others come for a much more relaxing and peaceful pastime, they come to fish.
Andalucia offers anglers a huge range of options to partake in their activity. The region has some stunning coastline and as the sun goes down and the sun worshipers have retired to the comfort of one of the areas many bars and restaurants the anglers are heading for the shoreline for a night of fishing.
There are also a host of companies based in the regions marinas like Duquesa, Estepona, Fuengirola, Marbella and Benalmadena which offer anglers the chance to charter a boat and head out into the Sea to fish for all sorts of fish including swordfish, tuna, bass, bream and even shark

Every winter, large packs of big marauding wahoo and Pacific sailfish gather along the Great Astrolabe barrier reef and word of this phenomena reached the ears of presenter Bill Boyce and his IGFA Anglers Digest film crew.Bill is a world renown biologist, underwater photographer and film maker, rod builder, angler of exceptional skill and down right nice guy. We were delighted to have him and his film crew, Richard Chudy and Dee Peralta visit us at Matava Resort and film some gamefishing shows aboard Bite Me in July this year.We concentrated mainly on the wahoo and sailfish light tackle action with some enjoyable sidetracks such as filming fly fishing for wahoo with Cam Sigler Jr, going after the IGFA World Record wahoo on 4kg line class and even throwing some poppers at the reef for Giant Trevally. We even found time to test out the new Pakula Wonderlure as well as try out a pet theory of Bills - circle hooks in skirted lures - but more on that later. The wahoo put on quite a show for t
Anglers are getting increasingly angry about the way Preston City Vision Board and Preston City Council are pushing forward their proposals for a barrage across the Ribble.Ian, who works as a River Keeper on the Ribble, said in his blog "Keeper's Blog " It's good to note the very robust attitude that the Ribble Fisheries Consultative have taken with Preston Council over this issue. The Council's Chief Exec has been left in no doubt about the strength of feeling amongst anglers that the barrage will be hugely detrimental to the river environment and that RFC will take legal action should the council proceed with its plans. He continues As things stand at present the plan is to conduct a feasibility study to determine cost and environmental impact and any decision about building the barrage will be taken in the light of the findings of this study. The problem is that we don't know the criteria on which the council will base their decision such as what is acceptable cost and what envi

Carolina Fishing from Grandpa’s Dock is a little corner of my world. I am by no means an expert or guide, nor do I aspire to those titles but ever since my first fishing experience as a four year old, the anticipation, hope and sometimes the trill of the catch has never left me. I realize our new site will attract those intrigued by the rich variety of sport fishing along the South Carolina salt water marshes and fresh water ponds and streams.
Most of my fishing is done from our back yard and dock on the Wando River (or shrimping in Bulls Bay.) While I can’t promise a posting every day or every week, I am hoping to keep the site relatively current and active. We’ll see how well I do. Take your time, browse through the various articles and photos. Have fun and enjoy the reports. Here’s is one late afternoon adventure from my journal.

The chief fishery officer of the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), William Hogarth, will meet with anglers on Sat., April 21, at 9:00 a.m. at the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) building in Dania Beach, Florida. Mr. Hogarth agreed to meet with anglers interested in discussing the application for the 13 Exempted Fishing Permits (EFPs), which would allow pelagic longline vessels to fish in some of the waters of the East Coast closed zone. If approved, the vessels would be allowed to fish in the zone for one year with observers on board for the stated purpose to determine whether their required use of 18/0 (with an offset not exceeding 10 degrees) and 16/0 circle hooks have reduced the bycatch of undersize swordfish and other bycatch, including marlin, sailfish and spearfish. The swordfish caught by these boats will be sold and count towards the U.S. ICCAT quota. Representatives from The Billfish Foundation (TBF), the Coastal Conservation Associatio
