In case you haven’t noticed when I’m picking on MSNBC and CNN, I almost never mention Fox News. This is because I detest Fox News with a passion and wouldn’t watch them if the world were on fire and they were the only news organization not destroyed by falling meteors. MSNBC of course made fun of it because they’ll do anything that doesn’t involve actually covering some damn worthwhile news once in awhile. Meanwhile, NY Mag turned their attention to the channel in an article written by Simon Dumenco where he compared it to a reality show with a bunch of 20 something anchors discussing business as food is eaten in a wanton manner and innuendo lurks in the background. Likely because of the “blow” part, this reader wishes to remain anonymous.I wanted to let you know that they were filming “The Dark Knight” at Twin Anchors Restaurant & Tavern at 1655 N. Sedgwick St. (Eugenie and Sedgwick). It looks like they were shooting inside the actual bar as well as in an alley beside it.They closed down that part of Eugenie with their gigantic white trucks starting at about 9 a.m. I also saw two of the crew doing blow in a truck in front of an elementary school. Is it just my imagination, or was the nautical look the "it" trend last summer (or was it the summer before?) Whenever it was or wasn't it's back. Are the designers running out of ideas of what summer means? Florals are an obvious choice, fruit is always nice, gingham reminds me of a nice little picnic, insects can be cute- the nautical look is obvious especially since we JUST saw it. But a trend is a trend so here are some cute nautical looks for you to incorporate into your last years nautical wardrobe. My personal favorite is the bag by Juicy Couture ( I think I am officially turning LA- more on that in a later post) See more of my Nuts over Nautical list at ThisNext.
