Started up Deep Log Analyzer on the Vista machine and it had shot its own schema in the foot and refused to start, great. Googled for the error message to no avail so decided to uninstall it. As soon as that started and I had confirmed that yes I really did want to uninstall Deep Log Analyzer, and that no I most definitely did not want to keep the data file, which was obviously connected to the shot schema, the uninstall process somehow by poking about had given DLA the idea that what it should really be doing is starting itself, with predictable results. I get the error message, about the already shot in the foot schema, that the said schema has, again, been shot in the foot and the uninstall fails. I tried reinstalling DLA over the original version and again into a completely different location. And did any of that work, did it my ass. OK, lets try the quick and dirty way. Delete the whole DLA folder. Oh no you don’t. Vista pops up more helpful messages that it can’t dele
