The Bahamas continues to be among the main receiving countries for intra-Caribbean migration, according to the International Organization for Migration, and governments and other agencies in the region acknowledge the need for contingency plans for mass migration and refugee emergencies.
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHCR) will host a four-day seminar on the Cayman Islands beginning on November 5 on these and other migration issues in the Caribbean.
Government officials from 21 Caribbean countries, along with representatives of observer governments and regional institutions, including CARICOM, the Pan American Health Organization, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Organization of American States, the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, and the University of the West Indies will participate.

On Sunday, the United States international basketball team defeated Argentina to win the FIBA Americas basketball tournament, and earned themselves a place in the Olympic games.Top scorer was NBA Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James, who rakced up a huge 31 points towards the 118-81 victory. 31 is the highest amount of points scored by any Americas athlete in an Olympic qualifier. We had such a great time visiting all the shows and events in Las Vegas on August 28th.
First we stopped at the Venetian to see what was going on at the Lingerie Americas show. All the glamorous companies such as Aubade Lingerie Felina and many other famous brands were exhibiting their merchandise. We spent quite some time at the Shirley of Hollywood booth to place our Christmas lingerie order. It was so much fun to actually see, touch and feel all the new merchandise. Lots of times the real thing looks so much better, than the pictures in the catalog, of course sometimes it's the opposite.
The show was great but by no means could it be compared to the International Lingerie Show held at the Rio Hotel twice a year.
