A shot has been fired across the bow of Olympic sponsors. Yesterday, a coalition of Tibetan groups warned Coca-Cola that it would be "complicit in a humanitarian disaster" unless it used its influence to ensure Tibet was dropped from the torch route. The sponsors and Olympic officials had to know the pressure from consumers was coming. International outrage over hosting the Olympic Games in a Communist country had to eventually cause issues for the sponsors. We all know the sponsors are after the nearly 1.5 billion consumers that have yet to establish brand loyalty. Why else would the IOC pick this location if not because of corporate greed? As we have discussed earlier, the IOC had better convince the Chinese address the matter or the public relations mess will continually get worse. Not quite, but… This is from Moonbattery
There isn’t much that moonbats won’t try to blame on the nonexistent global warming crisis — including their own well-documented and apparently worsening mental problems:

I’m a day late on this because of my KU victory hangover, anywho in case you missed it this first video clip is yesterday’s Today Show segment on some sort of revenge attack exacted for gossiping about the suspects on MySpace. The victim suffered a concussion and damage to the left eye and ear, out of which she [...]

In Sunday’s game between #6 Oklahoma and #3 Louisville, the Cardinals did very little wrong; they shot 59% from the floor - including 9-of-17 from 3-point range - while out-rebounding the Sooners 29-24. That folks is total domination, which Louisville did in blasting Oklahoma, 78-48, in the second round of the NCAA East regional at [...]

UNDERCOVER officers opened fire on a bulletproof vehicle carrying the Australian head of an anti-terrorism school in Indonesia after mistaking him for a drug trafficker, police said on Friday. Lester Cross, director of the Jakarta Centre for Law Enforcement Cooperation, was unharmed when shots hit a window and a tire on Sunday in the city of Semarang, about 250 km east of the capital, Jakarta. The school, which is jointly run by Indonesia and Australia, was set up in July 2004 to help police from across Asia fight terrorist networks. It also serves as an information clearinghouse and provides regional governments with anti-terrorism experts. Four police officers, acting on a tip from an arrested drug dealer, had been lying in wait for a vehicle believed to be carrying narcotics, Central Java police chief Maj. Gen. Doddy Sumantyawan said. Police initially said they believed the attackers were robbers or terrorists. Indonesia News

Ambush of the unwary on the African Savannah Updated September 6, 2007 No other cat in Africa knows the value of team work like the African lion. A lion pride is often made up of one or two male lions and several female who are often related, pride sisters. These pride sisters often work together during hunts and even raise their young together. This team work is best seen during hunting. One or two lionesses will often crouch low in the grass waiting for the other members of the pride to drive a warthog, zebra or even wildebeest towards them. Other times lionesses will position themselves at different points of the intended preys path and takes turns in chasing the prey. This approach is often very effective in chasing prey that are very fast the likes of warthogs but have poor eye sight and hence are not able to see the lion ambush. The advantage is with the lionesses because although lions can accelerate quite fast even reaching speeds of 36mph they do not have stamina. This team

Oliver Lieb returns in its Ambush moniker here for Magik Muzik. The Acapulco track was featured on Tiësto's Nyana cd and will be recognized by quite some people out there.
Acapulco on the A-side is quite a high paced track and is a funky tribaltech affair. It has loads of energy and people who know Oliver Lieb's

Yesterday’s corner time: 3 Minutes.Dad mostly works form home, travelling into the office one or two days every week.Yesterday, he arrived home slightly earlier than usual with a graze above his left eye. After much interrogation, he eventually explained how he had received his injury. It appears that a new and rather large potted plant had been placed in a corridor where previously there had been none.As he doesn’t venture into his office that frequently, this new herbaceous obstacle had caught Dad rather by surprise. He claims that he didn’t, in fact, walk into the plant but that it had instead, leapt out from behind a filing cabinet and ambushed him. However, I wasn’t convinced.Dad maintained that this was the true course of events leading to his grazed forehead and went on to explain that the term “ambushed” originally meant “one who is attacked by a shrub”.Hmm, that sounded more plausible. Perhaps, he was telling the truth after all.I’m now a bit worried about go
Burundi, June 4 1997I can not believe how we could have been so stupid. With all our years of experience, we broke one of the basic security rules: "Don't go out at night". Not only are we out at night. Worse, we are in the middle of the bush at night. In a part of the country held by rebels. Have we become too complacent with the constant security threat? Have we become too accustomed to danger? This morning Mats and I left together with Toure, the WFP security officer, for a mission to one of the remote radio sites up country. The radio booster we installed there a couple of months ago, did not work anymore. It was a nice trip, over remote roads, twisting and turning in between the dense forest. We drove through villages and small stretches of farmed land, dotted over the hills like a quilt made of squares with different colours and textures. Several times we stopped to take pictures, forgetting all about time. The work at the mountain top was done in just a few minutes. The gua
