I know that there are going to be a few people skeptical of new “Alvin and the Chipmunks” movie’s prospects, a few folks who believe in the ability of writers today to produce original material and circumvent the old storylines so deserving of another visit, and maybe even a few people who will be disappointed in Jason Lee for taking the role of Dave. Jason Lee (you know, Earl!) is starring as David Seville in the live-action / animated Alvin and the Chipmunks, set to hit theatres in December of this year. Of course, it’s right in time for Xmas and I’m sure there will be a whole crapload of Alvin themed toys and whatever else to vacuum in the dollars. We see this one making a lot of money, regardless of how shitty it is. And since it’s a live action remake of an 80s cartoon that doesn’t involve Dolph Lundgren or GMC vehicles that can knock over skyscrapers, it’s probably going to be shitty. Oh well. Share This
