I know, I know, it's a comedy...but there are several things that I love about it. One, is that it shows that God can do whatever He chooses. Honestly, the main reason why I wanted to watch this movie is because I wanted to see Lauren Graham since I'm a big fan of the Gilmore Girls.Evan Almighty is a straight forward movie, reenacting Noah's journey about building an ark. Showing you how a congressman, chosen by god to save people and the animal from the big flood. I enjoyed it nonetheless. It's silly and funny. The animals are fun to watch. Plus, to see Morgan Freeman as god was pretty entertaining.This movie is light and relaxing. Portrays a family that's falling apart because of the madness but still managed to find their way back to each other. Suitable for parents to take their kids to, I'm sure they will love it. But for the others, other than a few good laugh, it's just another movie.For this one, I'll give 3 stars as this is a good kiddie movie though. Kinda remind me of Jumanji.

Yesterday, I went to see 3 sequels. All the Hollywood stars were aligned and was able to see them in the same day without waiting 1 minute between them. It’s been a long time that I have been able to see 2+ English movies, 3 in this case, in the same day. I will go in the order that I saw them and I did checked my brain at the door(summer movies). Live Free or Die Hard So, I went to see 16 Blocks, oops! Die Hard 4. Hey! It’s a cop escorting a person from point A to point B part of the movie. Ok!, Ok! I’m still a big fan of the Die Hard series anyway. But, I had a problem believing Justin Long as a hacker. I have nothing against the guy but his Apple commercials did not help him win credibility for this role. I will let this one alone and say this a real popcorn action movie. John McClane(Bruce Willis) has many lives and so one of the henchman. I did not recognize Timothy Olyphant(THE bad guy) without his hat and mustache from Deadwood. I would say it’s eq

Personally I am a Jim Carrey fanatic so I am a bit biased to the Bruce Almighty movie, but I am not gonna make any opinions as of yet about the clip. Just go watch it down the bottom. The posters for Evan Almighty have been pretty consistent. Show Evan. Show the animals. Show the ark. Make the whole thing colorful and use a nice blue sky as background. They even went with the blue sky background in the poster where it’s raining. The one thing that is really different between the poster above and the ones below is the use of prophet Evan instead of suit Evan. Personally, I prefer prophet Evan, as it fits better with the whole image. But I understand that with suit Evan they are going for comedy through contrast, and I think it works pretty well also. The poster above also places the movie in Washington, something that the posters below don’t. I’m not sure that the location will be much of a drawn with this movie, so it’s not a big difference. It is a biography of Jim Elliot, largely comprised of his journal entries and copies of correspondence. Jim's writings are honest, personal, passionate and compelling; he truly was seeking a soldout life and it is a convicting, yet inspiring read. I would encourage everyone especially young people to read it, and would like to quote a section dated from October 24th - 29th 1949.October 24: I see the value of Christian biography tonight, as I have been reading Brainerd's Diary much today. What an elation it is to complete a Friday as a 3rd grade teacher.  I got into this job partly for the weekends and the breaks.  The next two weeks for most teachers wil be Spring Break, but not for me.  I accepted the job of teaching “Spring School,” that’s right.  I’ll be teaching a group of 33 kids standards and test prep 9-12 M-TH.  Why did I volunteer for this seeming insanity?  Simple . . . I want my class’ scores to be high on the Califiornia Standards Test in May.  As a teacher, we don’t work with dollars or bottom lines.  For us, the bottom line is the human product, and . . . thanks to “No Child Left Behind,” (NCLB) the test scores.  I used to be bitter about it, but after 7 years of teaching, I’ve learned that it’s simply a target.  Unfortunately, we as teachers don’t get to make our own targets anymore.  Once you let that go as a teacher, you can get excited about hitting the target the state has s

Without a doubt one of the craziest things I've ever seen.  Listening to the commentary is hilarious.  You have to watch the entire thing because the ending will leave you speechless.  The video is a recap of the final, frantic minutes of the ESPY winning, 1994 football game between Plano East and John Tyler high schools.Bingo, Bango, Bongo. Plano East was down 41-17 with 2:42 to play in the State Championship Game.
