French Ligue 1 champion Olympique Lyon appointed Alain Perrin as their new coach. Perrin signs a two year deal at the Stade de Gerland. “I must thank president Jean-Claude Plessis, I bounced back at Sochaux. Now I am at OL, one of the best clubs in Europe, ” Perrin said. “I am totally aware of what it means in terms of commitment, responsibility and sense of duty. Alain Perrin previously coached FC Sochaux-Montbéliard. Perrin began his coaching career at AS Nancy in 1983, as junior coach to Arsène Wenger. Perrin built up a reputation as a talented young coach whilst at the club, and was appointed to run the club’s academy. He also former Troyes, Marseille and Portsmouth coach.
