EVER since “An Inconvenient Truth,” Al Gore has been the darling of environmentalists, but that movie hardly endeared him to the animal rights folks. According to them, the most inconvenient truth of all is that raising animals for meat contributes more to global warming than all the sport utility vehicles combined.
The biggest animal rights groups do not always overlap in their missions, but now they have coalesced around a message that eating meat is worse for the environment than driving. They and smaller groups have started advertising campaigns that try to equate vegetarianism with curbing greenhouse gases.
Some backlash again
AlGore III was arrested again for drug possesion and sriving under the influence. He has been in trouble with the law before with these kinds of problems and should seek help. Al Gore's son busted for drugs in hybrid car...
Last I heard there wasn't a scientist left on the face of the planet that wasn't on the global warming bandwagon. At least that's what AlGore and his lefty lemmings of doom and gloom would have you believe. AlGores reply to claims of exaggeration and hype are very carefully crafted so as to not deny the charges but to sound like he is. AlGore has found his niche and is making the most of it I guess. Well his sweet little carbon offset deal where he invests in himself is brilliant I have to admit. It assuages his concience, deflects criticism about his power gobbling mansion and still makes a tidy profit. Hell, maybe other self absorbed and guilt ridden limousine liberals are "investing" in it as well. Fleece them sheep AlGore! One thing in particular that I find troubling is AlGores insistence that there is a 'concensus' amongst scientists about global warming. Concensus?
