Apple TV, look out! You will receive a rival from Blockbuster pretty soon as word on the street has it that Blockbuster is working secretly on a device that enables video content to be streamed directly to a TV. Apparently, this mystery device will be launched later this month although very little is known about its hardware specifications, let alone a pricing structure. What we do know, however, is that the available content will be provided by Movielink, a former joint-effort of MGM, Paramount, Sony, Universal and Warner, which was acquired last year by Blockbuster. Movielink alone has a library of 6,600 movies, so the chances of not having something nice to watch in your living room is virtually nil.Read more...

Eminem has filed a lawsuit because he claims that computer giant Apple has no right to sell his music.
Eminem filed the lawsuit on Monday in the U.S. District Court in Detroit, accuses Apple of violating copyright by selling Eminem tracks through its download service iTunes.
Eminem’s music publisher and copyright manager said that Apple isn’t permitted to sell his music because the rapper has not granted his label, Universal, the right to authorise downloads.
Eminem has previously sued Apple in 2004 after the company used his song Lose Yourself in an iTunes TV commercial.
What do you think of Eminem filing a lawsuit against Apple?

According to the official site, Pharos GPS Phone 600 is "your GPS navigator, phone, digital camera, FM radio, MP3 and video player, and mobile office". Sounds a lot like the Apple iPhone, doesn’t it? Let’s see how the Pharos GPS Phone 600 fares against the iPhone, keeping in mind that Pharos has entered the mobile phones market very recently, and that it’s primarily a manufacturer of GPS devices.
Same: Both are quadband GSM phones. Both support CSD, GPRS, and EDGE standards. Both have similar cameras: 1.9megapixels for Pharos’ phone, 2megapixels for iPhone. Almost similar weight, 146 grams for GPS Phone 600, 135 grams for Apple iPhone. Pharos’ cell phone also features a CPU from Samsung, although it’s less powerful than Apple iPhone’s (only 400MHz). Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g are provided with both of these mobiles.

O2 XDA Flame, manufactured by Asus, is a very sleek mobile. Not only does it look good, but it comes packed with features that make it stand out of the crowd, and it could very well be the first mobile that Apple should be worried about. But let’s not jump ahead of ourselves.
O2 XDA Flame is a touchscreen smartphone, sporting an unusually high screen resolution of 480 x 640 (320 x 480 for iPhone) on its 3.6inch (3.5inch for iPhone) VGA display. It is powered by an Nvidia GoForce 5500 GPU, and a 520MHz Xscale CPU (very close to iPhone’s ARM11 CPU). It even has SRS Mobile HD surround sound .
O2 XDA Flame
In addition to supporting quadband GSM, the O2 XDA Flame also supports UMTS, which means that it supports 3G while the Apple iPhone doesn’t. Overall, O2 XDA Flame’s fully supports CSD, GPRS, EDGE, and UMTS. Like the Apple iPhone, O2 XDA Flame supports USB, Bluetooth 2.0, and 802.11b/g Wi-Fi. Unlike the Apple iPhone it also comes with an infrared sensor and a VG
HTC P3350 (also known as HTC Love, and previously codenamed as HTC Artemis) is the latest offering from Taiwan-based mobile phone manufacturer HTC (High Tech Computer Corp). This touchscreen smartphone could be considered a rival to Apple iPhone because it has some quite similar features.
It weighs at 127 grams, compared to iPhone’s 135 grams, and its dimensions are 2.3 x 4.3 x 0.7 inches (58 x 108 x 16.8 millimeters), against iPhone’s 2.4 x 4.5 x 0.46 inches (115 x 61 x 115 x 11.6 millimeters). Clearly, the difference is not all that great.
HTC P3350 (Love)
HTC Love is powered by Windows Mobile 5.0, and is essentially a quadband GSM cell phone, although it also supports UMTS. It supports CSD, GPRS, and EDGE data transfer standards, so just like the iPhone it’s a 2G phone. It can be controlled with its touchscreen, but it also has a trackball, which clearly gives more control options than Apple iPhone’s touchscreen alone. And while it comes with only 256 MB stor
There’s no stop to Apple iPhone “killers”. Meizu MiniOne Chinese iPhone clone’s laurels don’t let other Asian mobile phone manufacturers sleep easy at night. MiTAC is a Taiwanese electronics company that among other things has a mobile communications division. Apparently the folks over at MiTAC noticed all the media attention that Meizu’s MiniOne has received, so they’ve decided to come up with their own Windows Mobile 5.0 powered iPhone clone. Thus MiTAC Mio A501 was born.
Essentially, the Mio A501 is a miniature quadband GSM touchscreen mobile device that supports CSD, GPRS, and EDGE networks. Its dimensions are 2.3 x 3.8 x 0.8 inches versus Apple iPhone’s 2.4 x 4.5 x 0.46 inches (115 x 61 x 11.6mm for iPhone vs 95.7 x 59.6 x 20.7mm for Mio A501). Not quite as slim, but it’s almost there. Both devices weigh 135 grams.
