Voyager One - Afterhours In The Afterlife
Label: Loveless RecordsRating: 3 GunsBuy On:Beautifully ambient, beautifully perverse, Voyager One takes 1990’s sex-infused industrial into 2008. Picture Gravity Kills meets Radiohead. Similar in style to Sister Machine Gun, Wired All Wrong, etc., these electro-rockers debut their new offering “Afterhours in the Afterlife”The album doesn’t exactly start off with a bang, opening with the ever-mello “Here,” reminiscent of U2’s delve into Electronica. Unique, original, and must be listened to with headphones to get the full effect.“The Future Is Obsolete,” a fast-paced indie-style rocker, think New Order meets GLU’s“Life In The So-Called Space Age” album.“I Remember Everything” stands out as the “Single,” infused with sparkling guitars, fuzzy bass, and various

VIA | Ansa   Segnalo e Diffondilo

Bought Some CTDC Afterhours, Methinks Its A Potential CHNR
Sure, sure (Nasdaq: CTDC) is up a ridiculous amount today and going into the market close, I was scared to touch it. (I even tried to find some short shares--to no avail) But now there's been some solid buying the after-hours session (just like some other solars plays) and the shorts who did enter today are thinking to themselves, this really could pull a (Nasdaq: CHNR), which, just a few months ago went from $15 to $50 in 2 days. After all, they're both Chinese companieslacki

      SXSW: Afterthoughts and afterhours
As flight delays scroll across screens and text messages taper off, SXSW negates to close its doors, yet gives a swift slap to attendees as it dismounts from Interactive. As stated up front, most of the interaction happens outside of the panels and what happens in SXSW, stays on Flickr. With leftover hand-stamps from nights before, attendees gingerly, yet somehow still enthusiastically dragged their feet into morning panels over the few days. While the main word on the carpeted streets was 'overwhelming', the plethora of things to do and people to see kept the crowd's stamina.Friday night kicked off with the traditional Break Bread With Brad ceremonial drinkfest and introductions. One would think that after a few drinks, the crowd would begin to tangent off of social technology topics, however with the circulating video bloggers stumbling within the crowd and the lively debates over Technorati and Twitter (which becomes a more flexibly applied verb with a few drinks) the physicality

Review: Afterhours 3 (2007, Global Underground)
When one thinks of Afterhours, one thinks of music without boundaries. One thinks of diversity, and genre defiance: a time and place where stylistic limitations are lifted, and the DJ is given a blank canvas with which to paint his or her musical picture on. There is no prescription for mood or tempo. There is no requirement for the music to be contemporary, or inline with current trends or fads. Afterhours is simply about open-minded listeners enjoying good music. With Afterhours 3, Global Underground stalwarts Trafik have managed to encapsulate that unconventional Afterhours mood onto CD in a way that's both diverse and accessible; a hard balance that often eludes even the most reputable of DJs.Continue reading "Review: Afterhours 3 (2007, Global Underground)" >
