I have to admit that when I first start this blog, I didn’t have a solid goal. The truth is that I had just finished reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad, and felt motivated to improve my finances. I used to have a meta-blog (blog about blogging) and recognize how proficient I became with that subject. I thought it was a good idea to start a blog about personal finance to hone my money skills. I also knew that I can make decent money selling advertisement on my blog, and if I do it right, the blog itself could be worth something.
So there you have it. I am blogging because I want to learn more about money and build a source of alternative income.

Most wars originate as minuscule incidents which, because they were not dealt with right away, deteriorate. We know this, but do we draw lessons for the future? Do we ask ourselves: " If I adopt a certain attitude, if I make a certain decision, will my contribution improve matters or complicate them further?" No. We have to wonder whether human beings truly desire good. If they did, they would succeed in achieving it.

The acre of land my family and I live on rests on a heavily-wooded elevation, which provides a panoramic view of a sparkling lake to the south. It’s quite a departure from the suburban tract home I grew up in, and I’m hoping my kids end up with fond childhood memories of frolicking in a beautiful natural setting. One remarkable thing about the property is the amount of butterflies it attracts, no doubt due to the variety of plant species that are permitted to grow undisturbed. My 5-year-old daughter and her little brother spend large chunks of time hopelessly chasing after scores of Monarchs and other brightly-colored, flitting butterflies. Wrong single choices has probably made Holly not think about music. There was talk of new material on her official site but nothing has happened. Holly recently said “No one can make any money. It was a really tough slog and I had a good go at it, but it was difficult. You put in so much effort and put in so many long hours for not much return. I was making all my money from endorsements and appearances, but I didn’t make that much from the actual record sales. I think everyone is suffering in the music industry. It wasn’t just me. I do something until it’s not fun any more and then move on. Music wasn’t fun any more.” I was really hoping for a third album, oh well.
