I have been having a real hard time lately determining if I want to go with acoustic or electric drums. I have had both in the past and I have both positives and negatives on each of them. Where the acoustic set have an unmatched sound the electrics are getting better. The electrics also give out a very even sound when recording but don't allow a lot of creative when it comes to how you hit the pad. I want a really nice drum set but I am just not sure which will be the better set in the long run. I am not too sure about the durability of an electric set after a year or so of setup and breakdown versus the acoustic. Hard decisions that must be reached soon.
