We resist (repel) and grasp (cling) so many things. This is one of the major causes of suffering. Instead of saying we need to accept, which sounds like an action taken in specific situations…I prefer saying adopt an attitude of acceptance of everything that is as it is.
With this attitude of acceptance, let what comes come…let what goes go. There is no repelling or clinging to anything. As long as it is…it is accepted. When it is not, it is accepted. This will also ground awareness in the present moment as well because you are not trying to grasped what no longer is or what you hope will be…or repel what looks like may be but you don’t want it.
If you adopt an attitude of acceptance to what is as it is…and find at some moment you are resisting and not accepting –

I wish I had more time to write. I love this blog and all the people that share. I have been busy with life on life’s terms and sometimes that is almost to much. But we all now we never get more than we can handle.
I have two sponsee’s at the moment and they are both retreads. That has been filling much of my time. Working steps with people that already think to much but haven’t found the key to unlocking the door to continuous clean time takes more. No pink clouds, and no first time wonderment. Just alot of hard work. I’ve been there but I can’t just tell them how to do it. Personal discovery is so important.
I hope this sweet seed of recovery continues to exist. Sometimes blogs have slow moments and then they rekindle. I always enjoy coming here and relaxing. But whatever is meant to be will be. I guess that would be acceptance.

This morning on the way to work, I was stopped at a red light and an interesting thing occurred. There is construction going on and there was a dump truck on a temporary road to the side that wanted to get in. The light turned green and the fellow commuter a couple cars up waited and waved the dump truck to go. The car in front of me started honking. The man in front of me was honking and swearing. It took all of 10 seconds or so for the dump truck to go.
We were towards the back of the line, but the light turn red again just as we approached the intersection. There was the nice commuter who let in the truck, the irate honking commuter, and me. He was still going on and shaking his first at the car in front of him. Soon the light changed again and we continued on our way.
This normal situation was a great struggle with much disappointment and some suffering for the man in front of me, but it was totally in his head. Why all the stress and strain? It was a beautiful morn

A lot of our struggle lies not in the lack of God showing us something, but more in our willingness to take heed to what He is showing us. If God reveals something to you, trust His timing, embrace it and expect Him to bless it.
