      Acadia Afternoon
5×7″ matted to 8×10″, gouache $100 via PayPal, $5 shipping within US (email me for international rates) It’s overcast and threatening to rain today, so I went through my Acadia National Park photos and selected this scene for today’s painting rather than venturing out to paint en plein air. It brought back wonderful memories of being up in Maine, wandering along the trails by the ocean. This is gouache (opague watercolor) painted on 100% rag, archival Fabriano paper. It is matted in an ivory mat with a blue liner that shows off the blues in the painting and complements any decor. It’s all ready to pop into any standard 8×10 inch frame. Acadia National Park
The last time I went for this long of a drive for some sight-seeing was probably back when I took a trip to Crater Lake in Oregon. However, I was sad to find out that the park was closed when I was there due to snow. Bummer. Well this time on my way to Acadia it was a beautiful day with no closures. My cousin David (one removed) is probably upset with me for not visiting as many National Parks as I could or should have. Acadia will be one of the last ones I see. What a beautiful hot sunny day. It?s actually not what I wanted. I was hoping for a foggy and misty day, full of that nasty coastal weather. It would have made for better photos. The last few days have been rain, rain, rain. It feels like I?m back in Oregon and Washington. I love the moody weather of the Northern Pacific and Northern Atlantic coasts, some of my favorite places in the country.

      GMC Acadia; HOT HOT HOT!
All I can Say about the GMC Acadia is that you HAVE to stop by your local GM Dealer and check it out! Everyone is coming to the dealership looking at this 3 row SUV Crossover and many are leaving with their New GMC Acadia! This is a vehicle you can take trips in or just go to the grocery store. Easy to park, fun and relaxing to drive, Great Gas Mileage, GM hits a Home Run with this one. That is all I really have to say, but you do want to check it out. For pricing and what customers are saying Check Here!

Afternoon in Acadia National Park---oil painting
Afternoon in Acadia6 x 6", Oils on sealed, primed hardboard$100 unframed via PayPal, free shipping within US (email me for international rates)Every summer, my husband and I go up to Acadia National Park in Maine. We spend at least one day strolling along the beautiful ocean path , enjoying the scenery and ocean breeze while chatting and taking pictures. This painting was done this morning from one of the photographs I took there. I used a couple of paintings that I've done on location there as color references, since pictures never tell the whole story. My palette for this painting was:Cadmium LemonPermanent RoseUltramarine Blue DeepViridianBurnt SiennaTitanium WhiteComparing this painting with the one I did on Saturday, you can see how moving away from the warm red and yellow I used there gave me the crisp, cool colors I needed for the very different light in this painting. On a sad note, I just spoke with a local reporter who told me that the Putnam Arts Council had a serious fire ov

GMC Acadia; What Consumers Are Saying
I am a car salesman for a GM Dealership and was happy to see the GMC Acadia finally arrive. Consumers are flocking in to see the design that replaced the 3 row GMC Envoy XL.I have not talked to anyone that does not love the new design. The only complaint I have heard is about the engine. The 3.6 Liter V6 may be a little under-powered for the size of the vehicle, but the 26 MPG Hwy mileage helps persuade a would-be buyer that there is plenty of power. There are plenty of options on the vehicle to satisfy any taste. You can get 2 sunroofs, navigation, DVD, option of cloth or leather, heated seats, memory seats, just to name a few. The pricing is not bad either. The cloth base model starts out around $30,000 all the way up to fully loaded topping $42,000 and a large range of options in between. If you have not driven or seen the GMC Acadia, take time to go by your local GMC dealer to take a look. You will be very surprised at the inside space with the 3 rows of seats. One of the most popul
