I am feeling like I am brushing up against people who want to use me for what I have to offer, but withhold what they have. Or maybe they want to block me from having what they have. The thing is, I don't want what someone else has, so how am I am threat? Not to mention that the universe is abundant, so you can't really stop someone from achieving, accumulating, becoming, or being anyway. So I just don't get it. Nobody is a threat to anyone else. We all have beauty, talent, contacts, energy, etc in abundance. We all have just what we need. We just have to get out of our own way and accept the abundance. Oh gosh. Am I turning into an airy fairy person? ME??? Ack!

A dear friend who I've known since I was 13 years old sent me the following text message this afternoon:"The essential nature of the Universe is immeasurable abundance."This simple phrase was like a sword of clarity cutting through my day, and I felt quite uplifted by it. Received last week, a box, a long time coming. Weeks went into considering what should go into it, weeks more into waiting.Great Expectations, by Charles Dickens. An audio CD, wherein the story is read by Hugh Laurie. When I opened the box and pulled this one out, I was devastated to see that it's abridged. I immediately searched out my original order — there must be some mistake; I clearly remember investigating this edition and never in a million years would I have opted for abridged. But clearly I did; I am unable to duplicate my research efforts — nowhere is it shown to be a 15-hour recording (and surely not abridged) except in my imagination, and everywhere labeled as the product I received. I only hope my frustration with abridgements is offset by having Hugh Laurie read this one

Well, in 30 days this one said, which is pretty good in my opinion considering that my income would be whatever I wanted it to be. Another attempt at mixed media. Did you ever really think about your problems and notice that many of them are from having too much stuff, too many interests, too many people in your life? I said I was getting tired of the blank white tidy canvas. I wanted to make something more rustic. Here is the cardboard blue jay painting from last week. I cut out the bird and used acrylic gel medium to attach it to a piece of barnwood that I found on the trail. I added a driftwood branch with a bell dangling from it, a little mirror trimmed in copper tape with a seed pod and sunflower seeds attached to it, lots of little glass "rocks", a sunflower seed pile and another seed pod hanging from the bird's mouth. I seem to be reading a ton of artist interviews, recently, in which listening to books on tape whilst working is mentioned. I balked and balked because I just got home, I am waiting for payday, and I didn't want to use my reserve line since getting people I know to repay me seems to be quite difficult. After they finally agreed to give me the $105 check from Qwest (phone company) for doing it, I reluctantly agreed. I try not to turn down money. But I'm a hypocrite because it amounts to predatory lending. Personally, I would have let the person sit in jail for three days till the check cleared. If they are in jail, they likely deserve it. But, if this neighbor of the friend wants to pay me $25.00 above it, I am going to say Woo hoo, and use the money to invest in more Prosper.com loans or use it to pay down my student loans to save interest.Addendum: Then my friend tells me that the lady in jail did a DUI and isn't
