  Conocer la historia e intentar estudiarla sin apasionamientos ideológicos, ni manipulaciones políticas es algo realmente difícil, pero no imposible si se aprende a ver siempre las “dos caras de una moneda” y a estudiar los hechos mas allá de las teorías. La foto que aquí les traigo me la mandó un amiga por Fecebook y se trata de la imagen de una campaña publicitaria de la marca sueca Absolut en Mexico. El mapa utilizado, era el vigente en el año 1830, y sitúa bajo control mexicano los actuales territorios estadounidenses de Texas, California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Nuevo México y partes de Colorado y Wyoming, territorios que México perdió en beneficio de Estados Unidos con la firma del Tratado de Guadalupe Hidalgo que puso fin a ese conflicto bélico (1846-1848). Pernod Ricard is the new owner of Absolut vodka after agreeing to buy Vin & Spirit AB from the government of Sweden for $8.34 billion.Pernod Ricard's offer was better than Fortune Brands and other bidders. Sweden's government plans to auction off Vin & Spirit next month and the company's leading brand, Absolut vodka. The little Swedish garage sale is likely to bring in $6 billion according to sale watchers. Some of the world's largest drinks firms have expressed an interest in Absolut. The Swedish government plans to sell V&S Vin & Sprit AB, a company it has controlled for 90 years and the maker of Absolut vodka, causing a land rush among alcohol marketers who would like to own the world's third leading selling premium liquor brand. Estimates are the sale could bring as much as $6 billion. The line of potential buyers is forming and it could get fairly long before a deal is done. Bacardi, Diageo, Pernod Ricard, Fortune Brands, LVMH Moet Hennessy-Louis Vuitton and even Anheuser-Busch have been mentioned as potential suitors. In addition to Absolut, the V&S portfolio includes Cruzan Rum, Plymouth Gin, other spirits and wines.

I went off all sex this week.
